It’s getting ridiculous. The US seems to be basically asleep at the keyboard to lose a match. The M8’s howitzer and p38 rocket spam means that capping/defending points is practically impossible for the BR1/2 Japanese players. I have pretty much everything in BR2 and can DEAL with some of the threats, but I’m only one player who sucks as a fighter pilot and usually loses dogfights against surprised enemies, and can’t hit a slow moving aircraft at high altitude with an AA gun.
All that said; Japan mostly needs more players and some way of bringing to bear it’s better equipment a bit earlier. Hell, lower the XP cost of BR2 equipment for Japan. Give some kind of artillery bonus because for a good portion of the war they had solid naval and air superiority. At this point, even if Japan were OP for a while; I honestly don’t think it would hurt the overall game balance, at the moment.
I do want to touch on Germany/Italy for a moment, and point out that their tanks feel oddly… crap. I mean, the Sherman was a fine tank that served it’s role admirably despite its questionable reputation, but I feel like the US tanks just flatout outclass the German ones in every BR up until the Panthers start showing up, and even then… it’s questionable. I don’t know how much history has been tweaked, maybe the “superiority” of German tanks was/is overstated, but in this game, they seem to be only better than Japan’s tanks, and frankly, I’d take a Ha-Go over a Panzer II, in this game, if they’d just give the Ha-Go HE ammunition WHICH IT HISTORICALLY HAD.
Actually; I feel like that is a major issue for Japan; their light tanks lack HE ammo, and their machine gun turrets on the things suck. They’re basically useless against infantry, and their papier mache armor makes them useless against tanks. I see more Ta-Se’s than Ha-Go’s, and virtually none of those Ta-Se’s have their barrels pointed skyward.
It’s not the equipment or the maps or anything else. It’s just for every decently equipped/experienced player on Japan BR2, there are like 5 to 10 well geared US spammers
Get 4 fully BR2 geared and experienced players in a stack and you will start winning at least 50/50.
Which is of course not a solution that is reasonable or actionable for majority of people.
This game is simply unplayable when you do not have 2-3 core players able to deal with enemy bs. Without making sure teams aren’t hilariously lopsided nothing will change
M8 has no roof
Any attack from above is a threat to them
Even grenades can kill all the passengers or even destroy the tank.
P38 is really powerful
But he can’t beat the Type Zero in his turn
You can even take him down with an anti-tank rifle
Not much else to say
What you protest is like a joke
If you really want to improve the experience
You should take advantage of your advantages and find people to form a team with
Instead of crying about being treated like a punchline while playing solo
That’s not even the worst of it because of how DF has done things Japan is not gonna get any more new players so whatever Japanese players you see are the veterans that are left
You can defend on some maps, but no thanks to Japanese equipment. It’s just that tanks can quickly get into a position to spawncamp the US players.
Any other defense will fall to P38 rockets within the first minute of the match, when you’re still bunched up nicely.
I never knew that many of your tanks have no HE and I don’t find that fair. Everyone plays tanks to farm infantry, after all - and if you remove their effectiveness at that then the team’s most impactful unit becomes rather meh.
I can’t understand why you are unwilling to search for information and form a team
Instead choose to complain on the forum
if you play japan
Anti-aircraft vehicles and 75mm guns are the only tanks you need
Make good use of your anti-tank rifle and No. 5 rocket launcher
Because they can destroy all vehicles
Don’t stay in place too often when you’re driving a vehicle
Because the other side will find you
Learn to drop aerial bombs better
If you don’t know how, please learn from the Japanese Kamikaze Commando
The Sherman was more than a match for the Pz III, and was on more or less even terms with the Pz IV. It was never made to take on the Big Cats, although through group tactics I’m sure it wasn’t that hard to take on the odd Big Cat. You try taking on 5 Sherman’s and see what happens
So yeah, when you pit a REAL German medium (and not a German “medium”) against the Sherman, the Sherman can come out on top with some better skill
I didn’t pay in Japan
After the merger, I played more than 30 games in low-level venues.
I know what the environment is like
It is not difficult for him if he performs reasonably.
It’s not about not being able to counter them. It’s that there aren’t enough experienced players to counter them, or in some cases, players with the TOOLS to counter them. I already admitted I suck at dogfights.
I want to emphasize, this is a lack of experienced players issue, less than an equipment balance issue. Except for the lack of HE rounds on the Japanese light tanks. That’s just dumb.
Unfortunately that’s all the new players have when they come to this game and if they wanna try leveling up they gotta somehow win some matches but that’s kind of impossible when the allies are rocket spamming their spawn and blowing everything up and that’s the new player experience with Japan
I believe that 80% of the current strength of the U.S. depends on paratroopers and aircraft.
Leaving aside aircraft, I believe that as far as paratroopers are concerned, they should be more easily destroyed in the air.
We can’t leave the aircraft off the topic because right now for the US faction there’s no cooldown for their planes at the start of the match so they can spawn them right as the match starts
