US army air corp foundation event, P-51D “Blue Bastard” and P47D razorback

This new event would release as the Anniversary of the US army air corp being founded, it would
involve a new P-47 variant with 6 M8 rockets and 1 Drop tank with the new airplane fuel mechanic. It would be based off of the 352nd fighter group and have a special paint job. The stats would be close to the P47D 22-RE. It would be at BR III with less maneuverability and armorer due to it being an early P47D razorback. It would have less visibility due to the razorback and lack of teardrop cockpit, the drop tanks would do more damage to infantry and the napalm would “stick” to surfaces and object with the flames burning longer on each surface, grass and foliage would burn longer and spread, solid objects would char and turn black. The squad would have an American pilot with the squad being an attacker squad with an event attacker 2 with the respective perks assigned. This would be a special event were you unlock an event order where you can either unlock the squad with an new event P-51 skin with a blue nose and 4 HVAR’s and would be a P-51D or you could unlock the P-47 Razorback.

  • Yes - add 352nd fighter group but make it premium

  • No - don’t add at all

Will be too similar I would prefer a P-47 for BR III just with a bomb. But why not I love P47.

I wanted maybe a more early P47 as a Tech Tree aircraft for BR 4, now the USA dosnt have a fighter in Br4 TT, butt with less bombs and rockets compared to the BR5 version.

The p47 is an attacker just fyi

They should just down tier the p47d to br3. It’s flying traits aren’t that great to begin with, m8 rockets have already been nerfed hard and are far less effective than hvars, and with a single 500lb bomb i don’t see it being too strong for br3.

At the very least it needs to be moved to br4, without a doubt.

After my Knowledge official its a
Fighter-bomber

March 1942, and in April 1943 the Thunderbolt flew its first combat mission – a sweep over Western Europe. Used as both a high-altitude escort fighter and a low-level fighter-bomber

After the source Flug revue its a Jagdflugzeug (Fighter).
P-47 Thunderbolt über den Schlachtfeldern Europas

The P-47 was a behemoth. Before it was loaded with three tons of fuel, bombs, and ammunition, it was five tons of aluminum, steel, magnesium, and rubber. The Thunderbolt was America’s biggest and most expensive single-engine fighter of the war. Making just one was an epic feat; doing it over and over again was a small miracle.

Here its called fighter source Patchwork Plane: Building the P-47 Thunderbolt | The National WWII Museum | New Orleans

Seversky P-35 was a fighter the P-47 was its intendet replacement then its proven the p47 was intended to be fighter from the beginning.

Looks like you dont have the right informations.

Go look at the p47 in game. You’ll notice it’s an attacker plane. Sure, it can be classified as a fighter, but that’s not how enlisted chose to label it. So, as i said, the p47 is an attacker, just fyi.

Can even see in the screenshot up above, it’s in the same squad as the a20 bomber, and has the attacker emblem.

Please read youre text what you did show correctly ?

And what kind of P 47 variant is even that.

Even the official Enlisted News did say something else.

In early May 1941, the prototype of the P-47 fighter developed by Republic Aviation, designated XP-47B, flew for the first time and successfully passed its flight test.

Just a year later, in March 1942, the new P-47 fighters began rolling off the assembly line and entering service.

Even enlisted isnt that clear about this.

If we add a older P47 Variant it would be more of a fighter anyways.

I’m not sure what you’re asking here

It’s from a really old event. People can now get it through the silver loot boxes that show up with bigger updates every few months. We just had one recently.

It could technically go under either one in the game. I was just pointing out the two we have in game already are labeled as attackers.

If we did get a br3 version, i would prefer it to be in an attacker squad myself.

Did you read it please?

P-47D-22- Re American Fighter Air (Then there is missing something most likely craft , from Fighter aircraft)
in the early 1940s . Option D has be ( there is missing something again)
Common in the aircraft line.

Enlisted makes often Silly or controversial stuff , most likely my event Fw 189 A-1 or the TT Do 335 A1 the prototype is in a extremely controversial possition.

In the Game the Do 335 is a Attacker what in history was most likely never its first intendet role.

The Do 335 hade a intendet fighter variant with the name P.231.

This was just some example that enlisted is some times very silly and not really reliable.

But in War Thunder P-47D-25 | War Thunder Wiki

Its a main role Fighter

gaijin made both games.

Understood. I’m not arguing with you about it. I’m simply pointing out it’s currently labeled as an attacker plane in the game. The terms “fighter” and “attacker” are broad and encompass a lot of different types of aircraft. The p47 is not just a “fighter”, it’s a “fighter-bomber”. Meaning it can be labeled as an attacker plane.

Even youre post isnt that unambiguously if you read the text.

See the emblem? This is what i was showing you. It’s labeled as a damn attacker plane.

In real life it’s called a “fighter-bomber”. Emphasis on the bomber part. It has horrible flying traits. The word fighter is just a broad term used for smaller planes of this style. I’m not disagreeing with you that it’s called a “fighter” plane, it’s just more specifically a “fighter-bomber”. Which fits the attacker role in game better, in my opinion, and emphasis on “in game”.

By the way, I haven’t been able to get this plane for a long time now.

Yes i see it, but enlisted makes often silly or controversial stuff.
