Not really. I dont think there’s any good reason for defenders having unlimited reserves. Cuz it makes death even less significant than normally. Completely crippling any reason why to stay alive. Rewarding only brainless rushes to objectives.

I have had the same opinion for as long as I can remember.
However, was thinking about it the other day …

There’s a big risk of creating a stealthy game mode if they’re giving defenders tickets.
why waste lives and resources to do whatever it takes to defend a point if you would bleed tickets anyway.
Personally, I would totally revalue my gameplay and possibly be not so aggressive anymore as a defender.

I would imagine this will lead to more boring gameplay in the long run.

But it’s just a rudimentary thought I have.

I think about it more like, why would the attacker team push a defined objective when they can just stay put and bleed the defenders tickets away. Imagine passive attacker teams being now a validated tactic that can win the battle despite not acting like a attacker.

Imho the confrontation gamemode already fullfil this niche of tickets for both sides and with some polishing on it’s mechanics I’m sure it could be turned on the main gamemode of Enlisted, but Invasion is okay as it is.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. Why actively defend on the obj if you risk losing due to tickets?

1.- The AI: They must urgently update the useless AI.
It can’t be that he gives an order to stay in one place 3 times and the idiots run towards the enemy.

You either moved more than 40 meters away from them and they’re following you (that’s stupid but not an AI fault at all) or you didn’t ordered them to start in place. When I order my squad to hold their position as long as I am on the 40 meters range they stay there even taking the available cover and shooting enemies when possible.

2.- Movement speed on a tank: If tankers in war moved as disgustingly slow as in this game, they would have stopped producing tanks.

On roads and flat terrain they are quite fast, but on uneven terrain, mud, grass, forest, sand, snow I hope you know that they didn’t moved max speed, even tanks like the T-34 that had wider tracks relative to it’s weight to better maneuver on difficult terrain still had its velocity severely affected.

4.- Experience: Leaving aside the campaign, 2 days ago I’m playing with a new unit and it’s still lvl 1. (I’ve killed and used the unit in each combat and it’s still lvl 1)

Later squads like the 3 and 4 version of them take a huge amount of xp to level up and remembering the fact that at level 1 they don’t get the benefit of the 100% extra xp from the blue line upgrades you may take a bit more depending on your personal performance with it. Again, nothing wrong with that, it shouldn’t be easy to upgrade those late game squads.

5.-Bugs: There are several, but the most annoying is when you shoot or throw a grenade and since you die right after you throw it, it no longer explodes or hits.

Nasty bug this grenade one but it does not happen everytime, one that is bothering me is when I am building a rally point and my engineer change from the hammer to the pistol all of a sudden.

It isn’t immediately, I even find the time way too long tbh, just try to not fuck around a lost objective without a reason.

7.-Defenders: These now have a reinforcement limit and also must wait 24 min to win, not to mention that with each point lost time is reset and not reinforcements as in the case of attackers. (DEFENSE BECOMES ETERNAL)

Depending on the tank. Some really did move that slow, but that’s also considering that explosive packs (IRL AT grenades) weren’t really anywhere near as widespread as they are in the game.

We are talking about average grunts, not supersoldiers. Swap speed is fine especially as there is a perk for it.

I can agree especially when there is no lock from keeping them out of the next objective long enough for defenders to regroup.

The OP has spent such an enormous amount of time in game, that HE DOESN’T ACTUALLY KNOW that defenders win when attackers are left with 0 ticket. He thinks that defenders can only win if the 25 min time limit per cap is reached.

So, basically, he’s been playing for less than 1 day and he already wants the game to be changed according to his taste with NASCAR tanks and such.

The instances of defenders winning due to the TIME running out have been very few and far in-between for me. I’m curious how many games he has actually played that this is a thing?

Granted, he joined the forums on July 13th, so I imagine the game time has not been very significant.

PC exclusive unless you mess with the controls on controller big time. Go to controls and vehicles and try and find it, from there do your magic I guess.
