I had idea whitch could be interesting, at least for me.
It is about new Campaign type named - Uprising, whitch woudnt be about 2 big nations fighting for some area, but about people who made uprising in Prague or Warsavh and are trying to destroy their enemy while waiting for support (both of these are waiting for Red army).
How it could work
-
In these two cases, it took a while for the Germans to arrive to avert this uprising, before the real fight began, the insurgents would have a while to secure their positions, using huge barricades across the roads (predetermined, only need to be built) and small ones in the alleys (the player decides on their position)
-
The Germans have a considerable advantage, so there is no doubt that they will start winning quickly, the whole game would not be about maintaining certain points but about holding for a few minutes (before the Allies arrive)
-
Boxes of supplies would be placed all over the map, ammunition, grenades, better weapons, etc. The insurgents would have to constantly look for better weapons, which would be in these boxes.
-
Since they are mostly native inhabitants, they would know their homeland much better, so they would have a more detailed map with various alleys, canals, etc.
Specific for Warsaw Uprising
-
Since most insurgents didn’t even have a weapon, there would be a chance that a member of your unit would not show up with a weapon or with some other
-
Since everyone was involved in the uprising, it would be possible to see a woman or even a some really younger characters.
-
Since the Soviet Union never really wanted to help with the uprising, after the past time, the Germans would still attack much more strongly, untill they win, in this case rebels still win
Poles
Planes - they have none, they are forced to defend themselves only with the help of German technology
Tanks - Really little, what they have are just capture ones, but they have anti-tank guns at their disposal (stational)
Troops - Rifles prepared during the occupation, mainly German, can also appear Polish rifles
Assaulter - similiar with troopers, maximum of 3 submachine guners in squad
Engineer - Very important for the game, able to build barricades and various anti-tank or anti-aircraft weapons, they are unlocked right at the beginning and have a larger capacity than German engineers
Gunner - As with troopers, only 2 with a machine gun, which may be from the First World War
Sniper - It unlocks later, has much better conditions for its work thanks to better positions for defenders, its markings are colored differently and last longer.
Mortarman - It unlocks almost at the end, there can be only one with a cannon in the unit
Bomber - It has a larger capacity for anti-tank grenades and possibly mines, anti-tank rifle and rocket launcher will be unlocked later
Radio Operator - Longer waiting time due to the reluctance of the Soviet Union
Flametrooper - due to high costs, this unit is unlocked as last in campaign
Germans
Planes - due to the end of the war they have a minimum of them available, and it is necessary for them to land for fuel more often due to poor condition
Tanks - They have tanks of all kinds, but due to the small space in the streets, they can easily be destroyed from buildings
Troops - the latest equipment, they quickly reach semi-automatic rifles
Assaulter - Due to a possible attack from Soviet unin, they send only small units, max 4 (they can all have a submachine gun)
Engineer - due to the small number of enemy tanks, anti-tank cannons are unlocked only with the second tier, they have a much smaller amount of material
Gunner - They have the best machine guns available, due to well-placed barricades, etc. they have worse conditions to fight.
Sniper - Minimum space for real efficiency, but has the best equipment available
Mortarman - unlocks really soon, they can prevent the rebels from moving between the defensive positions
Bomber - They are unlocked later, due to lack of enemy vehicles, they have a rocket launcher immediately available
Radio Operator - It can be used similarly to a mortar, but for a shorter time
Flametrooper - It unlocks in the middle, very good for buildings
Specific for Prague Uprising
-
Thanks to the help of the Vlasovci follicles, rebels have really strong soldiers as their second tier
-
The insurgents can use armored trains for good defense
-
As the Germans try to reach the Americans as quickly as possible, they are limited by time, after its expiration they are forced to surrender
Czechs and Vlasovci
- After some time, some insurgent units are merged with Vlasov units who have much better equipment
Planes - Really similar to Polish, they have none available
Tanks - Thanks to the Vlasovci, they have a similar number of tanks at their disposal as the Germans, but they will be unlocked after 1.5 minutes
Troops - Since the insurgents consist of really experienced soldiers and gendarmes, they have 2 stars available from the beginning, their equipment consists of German and Czech rifles
Assaulter - Czech insurgents have similar conditions at their disposal as the Polish, but with the help of the Vlasovci, whitch are available after 1.5 minutes, they obtain similar weapons as the Germans have
Engineer - similar to the Polish ones, they can repair and modify trains
Gunner - Like the troops of Poland, after time they are
improved by Vlasovci
Sniper - As with Polish sniper, they can have a pistol from the beginning
Mortarman - These units will be unlocked as the arrival of the Vlasovs, until then they will be available in really small quantities, similar to Poland
Bomber - Similar to Poland, just that anti-tank rifles are available from the beginning and with the arrival of the Vlasovci have rocket launchers
Radio Operator - Thanks to the support of the Vlasovci, they can be used very early, they are ideal for delaying the movement of Germans
Flametrooper - These units are unlocked only with Vlasovci, they have a very small number
Germans
Planes - They have quite a nice number of aircraft, but they are already damaged
Tanks - Well-armed, as with aircraft, they are quite damaged, they can have a problem moving between the streets
Troops - They consist of really well-trained soldiers who have semi-automatic rifles available almost from the beginning
Assaulter - Since they attack with the last forces, they have a smaller number of these soldiers, but they have more experienced soldiers
Engineer - As with the Germans in Poland, they can remove barricades
Gunner - As with the Germans in Poland, they have more ammunition
Sniper - Thanks to the many tall buildings in Prague, it is possible to use them really well agains Czech and Vlasovci
Mortarman - due to the need to move, there are a small number of them and they are unlocked only in the middle of the campaign
Bomber - From the beginning, they have rocket launchers at their disposal, which will really help in the later part of the game campaign
Radio Operator - the longer the attack takes, the longer it will take to repeat the mortar shots
Flametrooper - They are unlocked only later, a smaller number of effective places
I would also like to add that this is only my opinion and that I am not so good at arms history, so it is possible that I made a lot of mistakes. Rather, it is really an idea to use these uprisings as they are often overlooked, even those nations.
