I have been playing almost since the game got out, and never really catched up with all the various updates. I never gave a fuck about anything, i simply played good, that’s it.
Now, for reasons unknown to man, i find that i can’t upgrade some weapons and soldiers because i haven’t unlocked the “perk” in the squad upgrades menu, even tho i have never played that squad before.
I literally have to remove one of my veteran squads, with wich i do nothing aside from carrying entire teams on my own, just to replace them with some random shitstains that serve no pourpose, fuck up my strategies and that i have to play extensively in order to grind the exp.
And once the perks of these squads gets ulocked, i simply disband them and replace them with the old ones…
I have unlocked 95% of the soviet tech tree, i have all the squads that i use upgraded to the maximum, it is rare for me to not be 1st or 2nd in almost all matches, i have done a shit-ton of grinding, i have hundreds of hours, and despite that, NOW i have to grind another squad, otherwise i can not upgrade the engineer that i replaced the radio operator with… godfuckin’dammit…
i am a non premium player that carries. I Only have 3 infantry slots. 1 for riflemen, 1 for assaulters, 1 for anti tanks. By removing even one of these guys, i fuck up my entire playstile.
It wouldn’t be a problem if i were a noob, but for one that actually carries, this is borderline outrageous. The last few times, i removed the anti tank squad, and with enemy tanks left uchecked, they swarmed us like cockroaches. I am literally the mvp in 90% of the matches i play, if something gets done, it’s because I do it.
I have already done my grinding, a lot of it. And now, after years, that i want to play as a low level squad to relieve the good old Moscow battles, i find that i have to grind another squad from 0, just to give more stars to a single engineer… and it takes a shit ton of time…
just wanted to vent that off. I feel like i got revoked the “veteran” status.
