I agree, gold order soldiers should NEVER be tier 1. Or even tier 2. Crazy.

Their max level is simply correspondent to the max level of that tier you’ve unlocked so far
They’re not supposed to be a cheat code, they’re just an optional neat little historical figures. Nothing more than a name really as far as the game goes

They go up with levels? If so, nice, no complaints from me
If you have all upgrades for Tier II Riflemen, and buy a GO Tier II Rifleman, then he will be able to be fully leveled up
If you have Tier IV Assaulters only up to 3 stars, then your GO Tier IV Assaulter will only be able to go up to level 3
Hmm that’s isn’t the case for me somehow? I remember buying tanker 2 GO and he was already max star even tho I didn’t max the tanker 2 tree yet
Not true - I am at max levels in all classes, but still have some hero soldiers at level 1.

I’m not talking about stars - I’m talking about Level 1, 2, 3 riflemen, assaulters, etc.
Stars ARE levels
The word you’re looking for, or at least the one I’ve been using to distinguish from levels/stars, is Tiers. Tier I, Tier II, Tier III = Rifleman I, Rifleman II, Rifleman III, etc
And a Rifleman I is not “obsolete” to a Rifleman III. The only difference between the two are the inherent perks (starter perks) and their exact number of perk points. Side note, a higher Tier does not necessarily mean a flat higher perk point count. A lot of them have at least 1 attribute that’s the same perk points, and due to the randomness of the soldier roulette, you may even get a soldier of a higher Tier with LOWER perk points in an attribute such as one that I have somewhere right now
OK - Tiers then - so this guy is stuck at Tier 1 (although he seems to have picked up a LOT of empty stars since yesterday!!)
Perhaps that’s the case with random recruits, but GO soldiers are not supposed to be random recruits.
Yeah tiers don’t change dude. Also the stars are a visual glitch and nothing more. He was born a Tier I and will die a Tier I. No way to change it

If they make soldier tier affect BR in the future, it would make sense to keep low tier soldiers
What I really care about is the RNG perks point, due to my bad luck, the gold order Rifleman III I purchased in the past wasn’t even as good as the Rifleman II in my squad.
