The American voice lines on Normandy and the Pacific (well at least some of them) just sound plain silly. The “Yippie ki yay” one kind of breaks the immersion for me (But I can’t help but laugh whenever I hear it). Also the voice you get as an American soldier just doesn’t sound very American, there is a lack of emotion in the voice lines as well.
I will say that the background soldier talk sounds amazing, especially when a grenade gets tossed and you hear the panicked voices. There is also the case when a soldier takes damage and cries out that they are shot, those are good, I also like the reloading ones.
But the death screams/sounds and the character you yourself play as just sound like they aren’t done well.
Of course I’m not asking for BF1 level of voice acting, but maybe if it could just be updated a bit.
You could say the same about the german voices, they are classical “german” movie phrases but none of them is really accurate, but if you properly understand it, its just hilarious, they were talking normal like everyone else not yelling all the time, i would like to suggest 2 different kind of voices like yelling and whatnot when the action starts or you are in combat and a much smoother more realistic talking when you arent in combat, also add dialects for germans squads who got founded in east germany.
east Geramy and west Geramy dialect didn’t happen till the wall been up for a few years manely do to one side enslaved by communists. But i could be wrong but given how small Geramy is .
The dialect was always different… and there are many more dialects from northern germany south germany and in a few regions within western germany but i dont really want to go off topic.
Yeah, they do sound way too happy, I feel like chatter among soldiers away from the battle could be fine, but once the soldiers are in the action or wounded, it would be better if they reacted accordingly
