War thunder is a bad game and in war thunder we also have to take into consideration that you need every player to be an actual person. Enlisted offers a unique opportunity because you only need 20 real players to have a literal meat grinder of a battle.
War Thunder has bots yet in naval, and used to have tons of guaranteed bots in ground forces before they were removed for whatever reason.
War Thunder is also a game that makes money, and without money, the servers shut down.
War thunder and enlisted are two different animals Enlisted is focused around bots
then let me return to my original point: the premium approach to minor nations works fine for War Thunder
I mean, yeah, it could work both ways, I’d love to see campaigns based around the smaller/ more obscure conflicts, but at the same time, I’d happily pay for the unique/ smaller nation units.
I’d love to even see something like the Spanish Civil War as a campaign or the Manchuria crisis as a campaign!

War thunder operates with that ammount of players too
As I said before - Have major forces be free, like italy + germany in tunesia, brittain + USA in normandy, etc.
But have minor forces, like romanians in moscow (wouldnt use special weapons, just uniforms, insignias and voices) or french in normandy (those wouldnt use french weapons or uniforms, only insignias and voices) be premium.
We did have a suggestion thread around making the campaigns year-based so we can have battle of france + battle of moscow in the same campaign, etc. You’d simply only be able to enter the matches that your nation participated in (which would make germany even more popular)
They were removed because you got out of hte beginner protection zone!! 
WT used to have static scenery tanks on most maps. They were largely passive and offered little RP/SL when destroyed while being mostly just a nuisance.

Actually war thunder has 32 players a match, but ok
up to* 32.
It can match with less, 8v8.
Minor nations did use unique weapons. So even if they did premium squads why not add them its just another set of BA rifles and light mgs and smgs
Most would use the same weapons as the main army, only certain ones would truly be unique.
The ones that have the same weapons could easily be premium

Im not saying that they shouldnt be introduced. But a lot of them would use the normal weapons from that nation.
I doubt they would be adding all those weapons anyways, too much work
I imagine it’ll either be unique squads with 5star weapons like the current 75th with MP41s or it’ll be unique weapons like the K98trench I hear about.
But I really do hope to see the French MaS weapons or Italian Carcanos
This is just a K98 with a larger magazine, which is strictly better than the normak K98 so technically this game has been P2W since 2016
What should happen is they should sell campaigns or just make unique balanced premiums but then again its Gaijin we are talking about
