Looks like some sort of lewis gun modification. I wonder if that thing even works

I wouldn’t be surprised if this thing appeared in Star Wars in this form.

It looks like it was made on a 3D printer.
Just a Lewis, or Japanese Type 92 variant of the same, with no shroud - not to be confused with the Type 92 heavy machine-gun - which was the Japanese version of the Hotchkiss.
