Watching a video it came to my mind, why not unify the 4 campaigns in Allies and Axis?
In other words, anyone who wants to play with the Allies can join a game with the Soviets, French, English, etc., and anyone who wants to play with the Axis can join a game with German, Japanese, and Italian teammates.
This would also allow for the creation of a tech tree for each country, allowing each country to build it however they want, and then in the game, they would simply be given an ally tag and that’s it.
Let me know what you think about it, what is missing and what you would correct.
Historically they were there, they just look out of place in the game which is why people mock them as bathrobe boys.
I believe these were taken in Italy, Monte Cassino.
I did research when I wrote the France and Hungary Mega suggestion, but its been a while since.
I superficially touched up some sources again and I think they actually werent in France during the Normandy campaign, but they did fight in the Ardennes so that I remembered correctly.
In fact French troops didnt even participate in the landing itself besides a small commando unit under British command.
If they want more nations and a research tree for everyone, something will have to change.
I’m not saying the game is losing its historical focus, but the game currently separates players into factions and br, and with the small daily player rate it has, it’s not enough.
If instead of laughing, they gave ideas on how this could be approached, it would be better.
Because as we are now I highly doubt the devs will add anything else.
Why only stops on campaigns?
I want my japanese soldier armed with ppsh wielding katana in normandy fighting against german and yelling “bersaglio colputo”
