I didn’t even get the event reward because it was random.
I was asking myself the same thing:
Was one drop a 100% chance to get it or was the decal just a random thing to obtain?
Because that would be gambling.
According to the tooltip it was guaranteed if you claimed every possible reward

decal was guaranteed for 15 daily rewards, so after 5 days of playing, 3 rewards each day, but you had a chance to claim decal reward earlier
those 3 daily rewards were random
