UI/Squad/throwable/Mortar

Hi all,

I have been playing a bit more and have some things that very well may already have been said, however, I was looking through the forum and failed to find one (although admitedly I did not search for a full day).

  1. UI

The skull mark staying there even if you are aiming down your sights makes litlte sense, it obstructs the view and makes it fighting that much harder unnecessarily (why not toggle oppacity when aiming down ironsights?)

2)Squad interaction

Would it be possible to toggle response fire, hold fire and fire at will between the squad?
They keep giving away my position by randomly standing up and shooting at people (that, by the way, no human could see without third party aid).

Would it be reasonable to also have them copy you if you’re out of combat? If you’re prone they’re prone, if they have cease fire (or fire when entering combat) they won’t engage unless we’re already uncovered and it’s fine.

  1. Throwable

It would be nice to have some sticky grenades, even if at higher level.

A tank that just keeps moving up and down the road is so hard to throw a nade at, if you cook it by the time it is cooked you’re dead for the most part, if you throw it they can just drive away…

  1. Mortar Spam

Can there be some sort of control on the fire rate of a mortar?

Artillery + mortar spam make points impossible to get to…

Thanks.

1 yes I agree this should be changed
2 I think the devs already said that they are working in it
3Not likely, the game is supposed to be historical and besides British(didn’t work well) no one was really using sticky grenades.
4It’ literally the intended role of the artillery to stop infantry from advancing. Just wait it out.

There were sticky grenades being used, even if you need to be super close to the tank to use them, even if you put a chance to not explode, even if you handicap it, it did exist (Sticky bomb - Wikipedia).

Unsure you’re aware but the “Allies” were in great part European troops and US troops, it makes sense that you could buy or have sticky grenades in-game.

Artillery has a purpose yet artillery spam + mortar + carpet bombing is not reasonable in any way shape or form.

If you want to be “realistic” about it then have a team build arti and shoot it, with a respectable loading time and an area of effect that is realistic.

If you have constant accurate target bombing it makes it impossible, it is not realisitc the way it is being used and playability should not be endlessly sacrificed for the sake of “realism” that has little reality to it.
