Is it just me or is there no way to use the optics on the Type 97?
You mean the MG and how the scope blacks out when you move? The trick is to lower your graphics settings to the lowest setting.

Ya, all I get is the iron sight, no optics view ?
I just rock the Type 96. Once you overcome that clusterf*ck sights, that gun is violent. I like shredding with it long range too
