Adding the Type 88 Hanyang to the Soviet TT was the worst option of all.
It could have been added to Japan TT or a Japanese event squad or a Japanese Premium squad or a squad from the Manchukuo Imperial Army or another Chinese squad for Western allies.
But the devs decided to add a captured weapon to the Soviet TT Lol
Excuse me, but who and when could they have captured this? The best I’ve heard is about a minor skirmish with China on the Chinese Eastern Railway. Or was it captured from collaborators at Khalkhin Gol? Or what? I can’t justify this decision either on balance or history.
We could make this more interesting by adding some unique European weapons that aren’t used by other factions. And yes, half of Japan’s branch is made up of Chinese trophies. Perhaps if the developers could create factions limited to BR 2-3, we could have separate China, Italy, Britain, France . . . and Japan. I don’t consider Japan a full-fledged faction after BR 3. They can’t do anything at BR 4-5 without foreign weapons and dieselpunk prototypes.
Surely you is not suggesting the devs may or may not have a certain lean or not lean towards a particular faction that may or may not be current or may not, by any chance maybe or maybe not? Xxx
There might be some evidence, but it will need to be search very deeply
As I said, the Japanese used them in rear units and the Manchuoko Imperial Army also used them, so it’s unlikely that the Soviets didn’t capture them
