Some light skinned half tracks for both sides would be worthwhile. Maybe for allies a.50 quad truck, m3 75mmhalf track.Would be battle accurate. And defeated by heavy rifles or explosives. Crew could be killed since its open top by small arms
yes pls
M16 Halftrack didn’t enter service until 1944 - well after Tuniaia was over.
Before then you had hte M13 with twin guns.
Neither of them are really appropriate for an infantry-based game IMO.
Devs can limit the depression angle so youll have to use it in defalade opark on slope. Also as a combined arms game i think the other sugestions make sense. Especially the m3 HT being it was first deployed there .Entering service round 40 to 41. Also theHT is vulnerable to small arms especially the drivers slit and any crew served mounted
In fact even the M13 didn’t enter service until 1944 at Anzio - so there is even less justification for including the M16 - bloody ridiculous power creep…
The US Tank Destroyer force in Nth Africa had 37mm AT guns on the back of Dodge trucks… the M6. These were 1/3 the force, being 1 platooon of 3 in a company:
The other 2 platoons were, of course, the 75mm on a M3 Halftrack -
And there were also M10’s later in the campaign.
So if they’d made a progressive use of these thhen that would have bene pretty good - it is an obvious lineage from low campaign level to high.
But it’s too late now - the allied tanks are set. Perhaps the M10 will come later, after a Sherman maybe… but there is nowhere for either of the other 2 any more.
Correct could add the white HT with single ring mounted.30,or vickers ,or m2 12.7mm. Theportee concept is time and location accurate. Would be better suited for allies
