Im still confused by the sten gun and Thompson levels. The sten is level 12 in Normandy but unlocked right away in Tunisia. The Thompson is level 29 in Normandy! But 14 in Tunisia. Either one is WAY to high or WAY to low. The developers need to figure it out and apply it across the board
The MP 28 has been passable for me and I haven’t found Stens to be particularly threatening.
Is this going to be some bullshit where one has 0.1 second faster ttk which means the other is literally unusable?
I didn’t say it is a club.
I don’t know is it bullish or not but comparison is similar to Mp40 vs PPD in CC situations. One bullet doesn’t kill but PPD will kill the enemy before his gun even fires 2 bullets.
It’s almost exactly the same with Mp28 and Sten. And Sten allows you to clear the whole room if you know to control your firing. With MP28 you will kill maybe 2-3 guys and then run out of ammo and be in turn killed.
Give Mp28 it 32 round mag, maybe it would balance it.
I may be wrong but I have to try double as hard to clear Allies from the point with Axis SMG. Don’t have half of these problems with Sten. I managed to unlock MP40 few days ago, we shall see will it change anything now.
Since when is Axis locked on MP28?
And besides that its the point of asymmetrical balance. Sten is better in CQC, MP is better on med range and you dont spend all day long in objectives.
That doesnt have anything to do with the Germans… anyway you cant spend your whole time inside objectives too since the game isnt just about staying in objectives and tanks tend to HE objectives too.
I transferred over a bunch of full star MP40s to Tunisia.
Will start to use the when German assault squad gets their uniforms. Can’t stand looking at them now.
How so? A13 can shoot all day long, Breda can’t, it reloads the mag for 10 seconds. And all of A13 MG work but half of the M14 dont. This is ok with you? You will always loose more bots on Axis side than on Allied side to tanks. More bots on point mean more lives, grenades and faster time to cap.
And yes you have to spend whole time in objectives because most of the time no one else will, on either side. But I can deal with that lot easier as Allies.
Yes ofc, I am all for asymmetrical balance. But why then Brits have better Mp28 and Sten?
At the end MP40 will balance it out when more people get it.
don’t ask yourself impossible questions, the progression system is shit
I already see it, it’s bright as a new day, new Italian top tier vehicle to rule the Grant
ah yes, tankettes
Note the two mark II turbo-lasers, they even share the similarities with their bigger cousins
I unironically want my premium L3/33
walk inside building
there’s a tank sitting in the living room
the battle bus has becomed one of my favorite death machines.
just racing through pillars and hallways or galleries at “”“high speed”"" and kill all the germans lvl 1 bots.
i even flipped a bike that was trying to spawn camp the ally
I’ve also shut down tanks and machine guns just by parking the bus to block their field of view.
The allies also get engis at level 9. That’s not just an axis thing, its a Tunisia thing. It’s a dumb decision, but not an unfair one, per factions.
The A13’s gun mantle is huge and made out of paper, makes killing the gunners easy, even with the ab41’s auto cannon. The AB41 is lacking in firepower, but it does have some top tier turret rotation speed, which makes it much better at tracking nearby infantry. The M14 is a fine tank, if an unexceptional one.
The Armagurra is able to one shot down people, which the opposing m1 carbine can’t do. Its handling is also great for a semi auto rifle, which makes up for the small magazine.
The berreta is a lovely smg, and is likely a good bit better than the opposing lancaster.
The allies do have a definite advantage in at rifle and early mg, but the axis options are at least workable.
Honestly, I’ve been playing Tunisia a lot as the axis and I really haven’t felt an inbalance in kit. The Italian gear is a nice break from the usual german stuff, and its better handling is quite refreshing. The only thing that really drags the campaign down is the level 9 engi unlock, although its not quite as big an issue now that more players overall have them, so games aren’t decided by “Well, they had an engi and we didn’t” nearly as often.
Bis zur Letzten Patrone wird zurück geschossen!
I did wonder this, how the copy is better in almost every way, even though it was supposedly a terrible smg.
There is certainly nothing really worth grinding, its all just… meh equipment.
To me, it seems like there are far too many Stens and Lanchesters, Their RoF seems incredibly high and their ability to clear rooms with the 32rnd magazine vs the 20 on the MP28 isnt balanced at all.
…
The other thing i find is that Allied sides ALWAYS have 2 tanks and a dive bomber active, while the Axis usually have two tanks, but nobody EVER seems to use the stuka.
There definitely needs to be an incentive to play the underdog teams.
Same can the AB do with its autocannon.
While Allies lose their tanks to the Axis. A dead tank cant kill inf either. But I agree that the reload time for Breda shoudl be lower.
Well Its no the fault of the equipment if the Axis player just camp on roofs all night long.
Better in CQC yes. Worse on med range.
There’s definitely more Stens than MP28s, my theory being that allied players just have more confidence in their SMGs and are more willing to use them.
Stens don’t have high RoF to me. Haven’t noticed any lanchesters yet in Tunisia.
