Tunis is such a ill balanced campaign. Just not worth to play at Axis side

After the nerf of plane, the other major “player” on the match is the tanks. In other campaigns, tank can do get annoyed, but as campaign progressions provide other options, like Berlin campaign, PZ4J is a trash, but the later Panther G is slightly better than T34 ZIS53, than the tank part of game play is “balanced”.
But even I unlocked the second tank of Axis side, wtf Italian’s tanks/armor vehicles are? Joke?
As the Allies side keep rolling out its default vehicle A13MKII, with reasonable HE and armor. Also it has a proper turret MG! The Axis is so pain to counter it. Most players dont even has explosion packs. Also free players keep occupying the AB41, unable to destroy any Allies tanks. Letting me who unlocked at least has some AT capability’s M14/41 unable to use it. Axis side just keep FKed up.
Also the M14/41 not only, its wtf the italian at that time thought? A useless fixed hull MG, also the HE is not only weak, but also extreme difficult fo aim.

Yes, I do win around half of matches, but with tons of anger and extreme focus. Playing as 1 vs 5. And I’m at CAMP LV9, who already has engineers at each squads. But is it worth it? Just forget playing Axis side and play Allies side instead.

Dev you can bring asymmetric balance across the campaign levels. But the asymmetric gap should not be so huge! So in order to balance it, what later OP stuff you will give to german? while giving s**t to allies? STG/MG vs what?

I now see that, in Moscow and Berlin, German is weak at first, but at later CAMP LV is very OP. Now again for Tunis?

Do you realize that now tunisia is an alpha, it will take months to become playable and god only knows why limited access has been given to everyone, instead of doing real targeted tests for vehicle maps and weapons

You mean that the developers blinded by money didn’t care if the campaign was playable or not and still made it available in limited access for everyone, so as to take advantage of those who paid the CBT and the free f2p to do the tests, this reminds me of the line of people you had to do to talk to the npc, on the division, on its release

It’s just another copy of starter at Berlin, and even much worse. At least in Berlin, after unlocking MG34 at LV9, the balance is shifted. But Tunis?

Pretty much.

Opening Tunisia like this is a failed damage control to get rid of bots.
Failed because we already saw how it went in Berlin… and keep in mind Berlin had 1000 access keys from loterry as bonus, which is something Tunisia does not have.

I don’t think that players without being able to modify squads and armament can offer substantial help for example no engineers = no rallypoints
Darkflow is wrong, it should do targeted testing like 343 is doing with halo-infinite in order to get good data

I play as allies to levl9 and never lost literally even once. Nobody is gonna play Axis because italian weapons suck. Really enjoyed this kind of experience. In Normandie as germany, even you killed 250+ you often lost.

Playing against bots does not count.
The Italian armored car is not bad, they have a rifle with a bayonet, what else do you need?

Who cares about italian car? You get Thompson at levl14 with MP40 as its counter. Fully upgraded Thompson has 8.2 damage, which makes it basically an assault rifle. And axis would get MKB42 or something like this in 30+ levels. This single point makes Axis in Tunisia unworthy to play

And?You will still have mg, and he is the best machine gun in the game.

There is no need for the same whining as in Berlin, where it turned out that everything is better for the Germans.

The general rule of the Italian WW2 equipment is that the Italian weapons, while very effective for the times they were introduced (mostly the ‘30s), were outdated by the time WW2 arrived. The wars fought by Mussolini in the ’30s prevented the army to start another modernization, and in 1940 the economy was at its limit, and new designs were introduced only later in the war, too little and too late.

Uniform.

The fascist regime provided a new uniform design, based on the style and less practical than the WW1 uniform: notice how the Italian soldiers were supposed to wear a tie. The helmet was a good design, and was used by the Italian army until the 80s. The Italian elite units had a better uniforms, especially the Folgore paratroopers (that used a camo pattern) and the RSI units.

Rifles and smg.

The Italian command, like everyone at the time, believed that they were going to fight a new WW1, so they designed the new rifles as a close quarters weapon. The new Carcano were shorter, and with a bayonet already mounted on the barrel. The new rifles were inferior in range and accuracy compared to the rifles of other nations, and not enough of them had been produced during the war, forcing the army to use the old stock of WW1 rifles.

The situation on the smg field was different: the MAB 38 was an excellent gun, superior to the British Sten and loved even by the Germans.

Grenades

The grenades were supposed to be used at close range during the assault. For this reason, they made a little explosion: much noise, but few fragments, so these grenades were more flashbangs rather than fragmentation grenades.

Machine guns

The Breda 30 was a ligh machinegun, supposed to replace the WW1 machineguns with a design that was lighter and more mobile. The result was a weapon inferior to the machineguns of other nations.

The modernization of the WW1 machineguns was another failure: the new version was lighter, with a water cooling sistem replaced by an air cooling system. The new machinegun was unreliable, and jammed easily.

The Breda 37 was a heavier design, and proved to be an excellent weapon, very accurate and reliable. It is the only weapon that the Italian army kept using after WW2.

Mortars

The mortar Brixia mod 35 was supposed to be a light mortar, that could be carried and operated by one soldier. The result was low accuracy, short range, and under-powered shells.

The other mortar was the French 81mm mortar, a very good weapon.

Cannons

The infantry cannon 47/32 was supposed to be an anti-tank weapons carried by the infantry. It was very effective against light armored vehicles and tanks with little armor, but almost useless againt heavy tanks later in the war.

unpopular opinion, but i actually think MP40 is not that bad against Thompson. Yes, Thompson is better ngl, MP40 dont have that much difference in term of performance if use properly.
I play in Normandy as ally and Berlin as axis so i know that MP40 is easier to control and it’s practically a laser pointer.

With the mp 40, it is most pleasant to shoot, it is more pleasant than with the ppd \ Thompson.

I play Allies in Tunisia. Btw you can find Browning m1919a4 in the folder

Fully upgraded Thompson has better ROF, more damage(8.2! more than default Stg44) than MP40. And vertical recoil is not a big problem if you get -40% perk. That’s why it’s the counter of STG44s in Normandie(you will see in the next major update) but in Tunisia it’s given very early due to obvious reasons(to attract new players to pay). Let alone we would have drum Thompson with 900rpm in the future which would kill italians like cutting cabbages

There are a lot of interesting things there
