Although with the rallies this is a solution, certain maps would be fun if the vehicles could “respawn” to use them or add ways of transporting, today in Pacífico I had a great time with the truck taking people from point to point until they exploded me,that’s why I suggest add vehicles and make them be able to respawn time to time
While that could be fun, you might have trouble getting other players to jump into them. Or have players jump into them and drive off alone.
You also risk having multiple squads killed in one shot. Especially after people learn the usual spawn location of those transports. In some maps, you can not even spawn in a tank without someone spawn camping you. Although that mostly only happens right after the point has been taken and spawn locations changed.
You should also consider how much obstructive wreckage that would cause. Roads are cluttered as it is with just the tank hulls.
Tanks currently roll right through most as if they aren’t even there. I know for a fact you can drive through the Stalinmobile in Stalingrad. I’m going to see if my IS-1 will roll through the jeeps and trucks in Train Escort in Berlin.
yes, tanks might, but its clutter for infantry as well. Imagine if you just filled up an open control point with wreckage. Or just blew up the respawing transports in front of door ways, adding yet another obstacle for attacking infantry to crawl over.
You may think of them as just trucks/jeeps, but players will get creative with free resources.
Well, that’s where you get into giving us options to push or remove wrecks.
If they did that, I would feel sorry for the players who get stuck cleaning up wreckage all battle. Its bad enough having to be the one to build defenses. It always causes you to get less points than those fighting.
Pushing/removing the wrecks would not help in most cases anyways. If its being used to choke a point or block a door, you will get killed just for trying to move it. No different than the engineer blockades.
Considering the lack of durable fortifications, I honestly make use of jeeps and trucks in the game already to help seal off entrances when I can. That said, all it takes is a tank to push it out of the way, which believe it or not is actually more common than you would think.
That’s not true. If you know what you are doing as a defending engineer, and actually know where the objective will go, you can potentially rack up a LOT of points, especially by setting up (H)MG nests for allies to use, as you get an assist (+15 points) every time they get a kill.
You and I seem to have very different experiences. Engineer blockades are shredded quite quickly usually. Especially because they can be removed at no cost (which I really think needs to be changed). Personally, I hope the option to simply destroy/ deconstruct wreckage never is implemented, because it would be game-breaking. However, I can get behind the ability to push it around a little easier, or certain tanks being able to attach and pull wreckage. Though it needs to be on the map permanently.
Observing the answers, what occurs to me is to make the transport vehicles, not the tanks, disappear after being destroyed for a while, although I would say that this already happens, since I have fought in Tunisia recently and that jeep that has a shovel It was stuck at one point, but ended up disappearing after a while
