I’m all for making the tech trees nation based instead of campaign based… you can have the Americans, Soviets, and British for the Allies and Germans, Japanese, and Italians for Axis.
You select the faction you want to play and and depending on what 2 teams are matched decides the map pool they get access to.
So you don’t have British and Italians fighting in a Pacific island themed map for instance…
So let me get this straight. You are bored after 3 and 5 lvls in the campaign.
And
You dont actually like the game at all. That is not going to change, ever.
Seems to me you want to play a different game but for some reason you see the need to post on this forum to change the game to what you want so you can like maybe like it. If you dont like the core concept, why the hell waste your time?
The core concept is that the grind is hard without premium, but free of charge. The game is fine grind wise with premium.
Before you accuse me for not reading your posts at all buddy. I carefully read all the lines you put down like a good boy.
Grinding the same faction on another campaign okay atleast have some benefits of playing the faction from another campaign will do either for level or for some weapons but grinding the high level squads are just damn high especially stuff like 2nd AT or Radio squads.
I would enjoy it if was even more grindy to level up.
Getting max levels in few weeks it’s kinda meh for me
The more I have to work for a level, the more interested I m.
War thunder grind is way harder
Heroes and generals (played since alpha till 2020) was even harder.
This game is stupid easy to grind as long as u perform good in-game. If you play pacive you I’ll be forever behind the rest.
I don’t think the grind is that bad, but I agree that it compounds, like three different campaigns x two factions per campaign x so many squads per faction = a lot of separate grind.
I’m not sure I like the class levelling being tied to a single squad, like, if I get XP with a bomber in my engineer squad I still want to be able to level the bomber class tree. That’s perhaps an area where they could soften the grind a little bit, instead of at the faction or campaign level which I think generally works fine.
Also, what is good about the grind in War Thunder is that as you grind to higher battle ratings you get to play with better equipment on different maps with slightly different gameplay and new challenges. And still it’s fun to switch to a new faction and start with biplanes.
OP: “Grind is too much, it’s harming the game, please lessen the grind”
Dogpile: “NO! GRIND IS GOOD! GO PLAY SOMETHING ELSE! WT WAY MORE GRIND! JUST BUY PREMIUM. GRIND TOO EASY. I WANT PROGRESSION DESIGNED AROUND MY MASOCHISM AS A WHALE. DISSENT MUST BE CRUSHED.”
It seems like some ppl have all the day available to them for playing video games, and i am still at lvl 6 for all the factions still havent tryied the radio squad which i unlocked 2 days ago… still i dont care for grind as i am having fun and playing 1-2 hours a day gives me the power not to get burned out from the game and start to whine and complain, huh after 1 and half month i am still enjoying it like i play for first time
More like instant gratification is childish and we don’t need to cater further to people with no attention span when the game has far less grind than most.
