All of the features of the full access pack are already more than worth $30. Locking levels will only
add more incentive to buy the pack
kill off your largely free to play playerbase, which will kill your new campaign
The level locks must be completely/mostly removed. I understand it can be hard to listen to screamers/rants, but this is the truth and this is possible where Enlisted will keep going or fall. None of us want it to die, but it’s very unappealing. You even put all that work into the Maxim and Ampoule Launcher and locked that as well.
If you keep this system - all these locked campaign levels - this is not the way to go forward. Change it now. Change it later - what matters is that this campaign lock system is changed.
Please. Listen to the community. If you ignore most normal players and only listen to content creators then listen to Dysphorid and the others. Please - listen to us.
So they are more likely to listen to whiners who pay than to people whos time investment into this game ensures it’s at all playable? A sound strategy. Maybe it will even work if enough people bend over.
The main issue is that it’s a dramatic deterioration compared to previous campaigns. They aren’t just giving paying players more, they are taking things away from free players. Essential things, some of which were even free in other campaigns.
That should make everyone concerned, not just free players. It shows developers’ willingness to do certain things. Just because you’re paying them does not make you safe. There’s always more they can take from you to make you pay more.
Small reminder that this is in accordance to Dfs campaign policy which is more or less the result of a poll where the players voted. Sure, you can criticize them for not telling/ reminding people about that, since not everyone was/ is able to get this information unless he started to play the game a bit earlier or got the information from testers. That should’ve been on the games advertisment page.
Aah, I see. So they’ve promised that the game will turn bad after the first four campaigns. That makes it alright then. Silly me. … Whatever. Time will tell, as with everything else. Personally I predict that this move will do irreparable damage in the long term, but it’s not like my opinions mean anything.
Four campaigns will be “free”. After that they wanted to release campaigns similiar to DLCs.
And thats bad because? Is everyone who doesnt want to pay, forced to play Stalingrad? F2P in Stalingrad is basically demo to persuade people to buy the DLC/ pack. Imo better solution than just making it entirely paywalled/ unplayable for free.
Just a check on your reasoning here. Stalingrad is a NEW campaign. Free to play folks are still getting something, they just aren’t getting AS MUCH as those who paid the money. That’s a significant framing difference and it’s also the proper way of looking at the situation.
This is a really weird thought process. You know you can not play the new campaign, right? They (Darkflow or whoever) cannot FORCE you to do anything…it’s all voluntary, I promise.
You (or whoever) might start getting some withdrawal symptoms or something, but unlike alcohol or heroin or cigarettes this game (and new campaign) is something anyone can walk away from without disastrous results to either their psyche or physiology.
I can understand a sense of hurt or betrayal, even if I don’t agree with those feelings, but some of the recent activity on the forum is just…I don’t know.
exactly darkflow said this:
the campaign remains f2p you can play it for free like the others, but some levels have sidegrades or unique weapons not necessarily superior to the free ones, which can be obtained by buying access to the campaign Player
betrayal, you are cheating on us, we will not pay, give us everything for free or you will have no more players … and the story continues
its a stick with 2 sharp ends.
without pay users, you wouldnt play either. and pay users, actually make the boat float. the f2p players are just here for the free ride.
How do all free to play games make money? In terms of F2P Elnislted is quickly approaching the status of “the worst option in the world”. They’ve tried all the existing worst options (lootbox progression, heavy battle pass emphasis with unique weapons, general mobile feel) and now are starting to invent their own worse options.
I’m telling you, everyone should be concerned about this new approach, not just free players. If anything, it’s an admission that everything up to this point has failed. As a response, instead of fixing what’s broken they are making monetization more restrictive.
“Oh no. They release a 30 shekel pack which gives you faster grind, all levels, more slots and unique and actually usefull exclusives instead of 50 shekel bikes, 1k gold and a useless access to a broken alpha.”
Pls dont do this, Df…
This access pack gives you SO MUCH more than it should and is the best value DLC/Store Item I have seen in ANY game in years and people STILL complain about it.
400% Experience (Which stacks with premium account, squads, and helps grind silver orders)
Pz. II F Flamer Tank Premium Squad
HT-130 Flamer Tank Premium Squad
Soldiers are recruited at 4*
Weapons are rewarded at 1* under max
Extra squad slots that stack with premium account slots
New Aviation Attack for Radio Operators
New Medic Class
New Recoil System
New Damage System
New Sounds, Explosives, Engineer Ampoule Launcher
New Solider/Vehicle Customization
New Maps created to their historical location
Literally in awe that anyone can look at this and think it’s bad value. Tanks themselves cost in the realm of $35-50 INDIVIDUALLY and this isn’t even considering the value of silver order gains with 400% experience to be used in other campaigns.
Darkflow is being EXTREMELY beneficent in letting F2P players play the campaign AT ALL before they choose whether or not to buy access to everything it provides. They listened to everything people didn’t like about microtransactions, progression, and equipment - changed it - and people still reject it
