I have avoided playing regular game mode for quite some time now. Why? Because 80% of the time I choose to play, I get ASSAULT! When Gaijin rolled out their preferred map/mode bullshit, “EVERY”, and I literally mean “EVERY” thumbs down I gave included “ASSAULT”, so why the hell do I keep getting Assault? Why did I waste 10 or 20 minutes of my life choosing preferences that Gaijin was just going to ignore?
Is it really this hard? I mean, Gaijin has already proven that they can’t make a squad of bots more intelligent then a bag of wet potato’s, but in the year 2026 they can’t make a preference system that can ACTUALLY interpret your thumbs up and thumbs down choices? Really?
So, I guess I am one and done with the general game mode, now back to custom mode where at least the game can interpret what map and mode I choose, however, my severely mentally impaired AI bots still exist.

Yeah fr like wth yesterday i got 2 of my least favorite mode which is assault and confrontation 70% of the time and on top of that? I am on a team that dont build rally, how fun.
Legit i just went guerilla and screw the enemy cause i hate them and my team in those match.

Assault? What is that?
I have given all my dislikes to the conquest maps (not enough available to dislike all of them).
But what do I get? More conquest.
The replay page shows my last 50 battles:
26 invasion → 52%
13 conquest → 26%
6 confrontation → 12%
5 destruction → 10%
0 assault → 0.00%
Perhaps the game is just trolling us…or misprogrammed the likes and dislikes by mistake…
(I play ‘join any army’ and have not given any likes to maps, only dislikes to conquest maps, dont know if that matters)

It looks like if nothing else the Dev’s pretended to throw us a bone, but in reality just gave us lip service and ignored player requests. I got so sick of it that I started playing my own custom matches, and now, other then the bots being trash, there is no reason to go back to playing in the general mode just to get further pissed off at the matches they continue to throw me into. I’m just playing for fun, but if I am forced into games that are not fun, what’s the point? I play so little general mode anymore that I would have to go back quite a ways to see what my general mode game breakdown was. 
I only play a handful of general games a month now, if that.

Here’s a conservative suggestion: don’t vote on map preferences. Let the system assign you maps automatically and see which mode you’re more likely to be in.

You’re probably right, obviously our preferences were not taken into consideration, unless the Dev’s intent was just to f**k with us.
In short, randomized matches are always better than fixed preferences, because fixed preferences are just a gimmick.

I mostly just play custom matches now, so I avoid all of the Dev’s messed up preferred BS. 
Let’s wait patiently. Maybe the next update will be better than this one. Of course, that’s not necessarily true.
And again and again…the next day, my first battle…conquest…
