Tobruk was the site of major fighting on the African front between the siege of Tobruk (/təˈbrʊk, toʊ-/) took place between 10 April and the British capture of Tobrukon 22 January 1941. for over nine months the allied and axis powers fought over this key logistics hub.

Logistics remained a cornerstone of the cities defense withe the Axis reliant on Tripoli to recieve shipments from Axis mainland Europe. The allied navy and air force played a key role in intercepting these vital war supplies. These supplies had to be then moved by truck along roads like El Adem to the forward forces of the axis under constant air attack.

The allied fighters and bombers tasked with defending land air and sea often had sometimes found themselves overwhelmed. Much of the city was reduced to ruble by ariel bombardment before fighting in the region came to an end. Control of the city woiuld switch hands multiple times before the end of the war.

Unlike many of its earlier conquest the axis found Tobruk to be a tougher nut to crack. prepared defenses and defenders fought the axis for months it was one of the first battles in which the axis were unable to meet there war aims. The allies had fought from trenches and heavily fortified positions inflicting heavier casualties on the enemy.

The allied forces led two relief forces before Tobruk was finally relieved the first being repulsed with relatively light casualties. The axis attempted to entrench themselves further by taking surrounding territory to secure their own supply lines. The inability of the Axis air or naval forces to cut of Tobruk from sea led to the eventual allied victory in this campaign due top over extended supply lines of their own.

Tobruk is a 1967 drama directed by Arthur Hiller depicting the actions of British Long Range Desert Group and the Special Interrogation Group on their mission to destroy the fuel bunkers of Afrika Corp. The film is loosely based Operation Agreement. Unlike the heroic film Operation Agreement was a disastrous failure. The allies lost 800 killed and 576 captured as well as a cruiser, 2 destroyers, 4 MTBs, 2 MLs and Several landing craft for minimal axis loses.

The city of Tobruk and surrounding regions should be added to the game. A major point of conflict and important event in the eventual liberation of Africa from Axis forces. In addition to the UK it involved multiple lesser-known allied powers including India, Poland and Czechoslovakia.

Urban fight in North Africa, im on it, just give us something of the German and Italian Navy as event when it comes, honestly Africa campaign is very skipped in attention, i hope devs have more consideration for it
