I dont know - isnt it more like the devs fault for allowing xp gain in modified games to begin with?
Like when its technically possible to “farm” I dont see how this is an exploit.
I still haven’t quite understood what all this hustle is about, though I personally dont play custom games… so can someone explain pls in more detail what was even done to deserve ban? Also, “demanding justice” is a crazy claim when no one even knows how long these players have been banned.
Are we talking about permanent bans for farming AI in custom games? On the first view this seems very overreaching.
Yeah, artificially prolonging specific matches with active boosters with the clear intention of gaining a huge amount of resources is definitely not an exploit.
You’re acting as if these matches in customs were played in a normal way.
But they clearly weren’t.
I don’t understand why so many people deliberately defend exploiters, only making up nonsensical, intellectually dishonest arguments.
How is that an exploit when its possible within the options of the game, thats like saying playing in 4 man groups in favourable factions and often winning BRs is exploiting - because one would get more exp and silver than playing solo.
I really dont think that was the whole story here.
When you are in stack, you are still playing the game the way it was intended.
It is quite obvious it was not intended by devs that people will be artificially prolonging matches in customs to farm comically huge amount of recourses trough boosters.
They haven’t played those matches in customs in legitimate way. That’s the part where the exploitation is quite obvious and deliberate. The intended outcome is very clear.
Just like and Dutch VPN was an obvious exploit. Even though it was a part of the game.
Stop being intellectually dishonest, it’s actually insulting.
Then be insulted, when its a normal game option to gain XP in custom matches + when the game simply lets you push and play for an unlimited time… its literally just min maxing - not exploiting.
All that being, I want to clarify that I dont play custom games - and I am only speculating here, which is why I asked if someone knows in detail what they have done, how much silver they have farmed, and for how long they have been banned.
its not my responsibility to judge or question those bans, ( im no dev) but still I’d just like to get the full picture before jumping to conclusions.
I was wondering why those names for those 8 disconected players were so familiar to me, turns out he had used them to boost his opinon in polls and got called out for it just recently so the deserters are most likely his aswell.
I guess you weren’t around for the halo 2 days. In my mind it’s a given customs will not be played as a normal match.
This particular scenario isn’t really common sense though, and if you’re going to ban people you need to make sure the potential reasons for getting banned are known and well described. To me, an exploit is more of using a glitch or bug to win. That’s not really what happened here. I don’t think this would meet the terms of exploitation.
Not sure, i assumed a permanent ban because it was an outlisted news post, which i thought have always been perma bans. Is also kind of the reason i don’t agree with all this.
I’m just saying, He clearly botted at least one poll. Even if it was just a joke poll, the precedent set by banning someone who bots a poll could hopefully send a message to anyone else who may try to in the future.
Punishments need to be more creative
Should’ve made it so all of their soldiers from now on have half stamina and movement speed, and any vehicle they operate constantly drifts to the left
It was that hard to mention that since You released the outlisted post?
I Guess it clarifly the things now
Yet i still holding My position that it would have been easier to remove everything gained And fix the problem Even more i would have hired these guys for looking for more exploits maybe as non paid workers else if get banned X D
