Time to release this game on steam?

Just saw this reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/enlistedgame/comments/tmocb7/doubts_starting_to_arise_playerbase_seems_to_be/
Cannot agree more. Would be a nice way to at least to fix the serious playerbase issue we see in this game now.

Moscow Axis
Berlin Axis
Tunisia Allies

These three factions have the most serious playerbase in this game. For a average match less than 3 real players, and those 3 real players are usually worse than bots. Even though I play this game on peak hours of EU and EEU servers(like CET 19-23pm)

With the add of Stalingrad, while most of gears are copy-paste(except Danuvia M39), this problem would even get worse, to the extent that would some factions unplayable, or one-sided bot farming. Like my stat in Berlin, where 70% matches are bot-farming,

So could you consider to release this game on steam and stop deceive yourself that this game ā€œhas enough players in all campaignsā€ while Normandy being the only excpetion of not having playerbase issue? Simply because 1. Normandy is almost the default choice of amercian players after they get into this game; 2. Normandy is the only place that germans don’t begin with Mp28 or mp3008, means a normal leveling for axis players.

Now, by making every effort to get P2P players to buy your subscription services and Premium squads, and by keeping throwing them into bot mathces this game is doing everything to hide the fact that it doesn’t have enough playerbase and stick on the current campaign system, which is unsustainable.

It would bring in new blood, which would be good for us players.

I doubt gaijin will, thought, not yet at least. Having your game offered on Steam means giving 20% (something like that, uncertain of the number) of ALL revenues to Steam. Gaijin loves it’s profit and as we can guess… Sells a lot of gold… I’m guilty being a big fat whale here.

We can hope thought, that at some point the ā€œmoveā€ will be profitable for gaijin and they will finally make the ā€œjumpā€.

Valve take the 30% on every transaction in the game

If you purchase using steam wallet…

Anyway didn’t they stated on a dev stream (last one?) that they don’t do it yet because it will be yet another launcher they have to update separately besides standalone ps4 ps5 Xbox one 360?. I rememeber something around that lines on it.

many do it and that’s why gaijin doesn’t like steam, it takes too much money from him

they have said it since the beginning of development, the only store in which they maybe could enter is that of epic games since it has lower rate

They would still earn since it could expand the playerbase, better less more money than zero more money

As I have already written in another Thread. On Playstation Network you won’t find any Words about Beta, only Tunisia still seems to be beta Official!

Ooof, much more than 20… almost 1/3 of profits. I can understand why the snail is reluctant to use the platform this way.

For them to consider it, Enlisted would need to have it’s player base dwindling enough that paying 30% would be profitable.

Another clue that Enlisted might in fact have more players than we forum users might believe…

It for sure has more players than we think, because imo lot of players assume that only forum members play the game. In reality i would say something like 30% only use forum, and even then i think im generous.

Not only that: forum users generally being more involved in the game means we are more experienced and as a result, better than your ā€œaverage joeā€ā€¦ we are so used speaking with ONLY other forum members that we believe every human player has similar skills in the game…

But I’m certain it’s not the case. There might be a TON of casual players out there. When I think the enemy team only has bots but I see some fool trying to lob regular grenades at my tank, I remember bots just don’t throw anything unless ordered…

Bots dont attack tanks unless ordered.
Yeah there is plenty of casual players that dont really care about forums or even updates unless it changes something they use. I can see it in my clan, whenever there is an event in WT everyone asks me what is it about because i actually look on news and have informations. xD

This is true, Just check people on twitch with like 1 viewer. They tend to play slower/ more scared. Which is not ideal for the pace enlisted has, but that is something they will get used to after playing the game for a while.

For real, there’s a lot of games that I don’t bother going on their forums for. I only do here because I actually like some of you people lmao

Gaijin will probably do Steam release with Pacific campaign.

Well. We found out that they dont care as long as they can play everything for free.
