Tigers

Why is allowed so many times get in battles tier 3 with Tigers 1 and 2 ???

greetings. and welcome to our misguided community.

the answer is relatively simple, but complicated depending on how long you have been playing.

short answer,
pre-merge players who unlocked tigers squads and their respective vehicles in the past.

mostly people who played since 2020.
such as my self, others CAT members ( closed alpha test members, ) CBT ( closed beta members ) and others who in 2022 joined us through the open beta and unlocked said vehicles in the previous campaign system.

Long answer,
to add to what previously said, those people like us may have grinded the same vehicle across different campaigns.

for example, in the tigers case, players over berlin had access to unlock tanker type II & IIIs which both had the ability to use a tiger.

then, players who grinded through the normandy campaign, were also able to get an additional squad that used tigers as well.

same applies to panthers. or, in the ally case, several M8s, and couple of others.

when the merge hitted, DF to not piss off half if not more the population of the game, decided to allow players to keep and use their squads and vehicles that were unlocked.

resulting in players being able to cycle the same vehicle if a squad holds it.

few exceptions were through gold order.

new players or players that have been playing AFTER the merge, they will never be able to run more than 2 of the same vehicles outside rare instances ( through gold order vehicles. which are going to go away… )

but fundamentally, that’s your answer.

now, cycling can be a problem.
and the same community decided that the restriction on the same class were a bad idea.
because said restrictions would have been easy to go around by paying for premium vehicle which would have negated said system. ( which was a " thing " for few months ).

and with it, you can essentially cycle with more than 2 squad types.
resulting in more tigers, more airplanes etc etc.

EDIT:

ah… i somewhat misread the whole question.

GG to me.

anyway, well, the reason why you face tigers at br III it’s because br III is the middle br that can be putted up against either br IIs (& Is ) as well as being against BR IV & V.

it’s not clear why as explanations were never given.
perhaps not so many players to sustain all 5 brs brackets. hence they " loosened " up the restriction to create more matches and find more opponents quicker.

Because BR 3 can be matched against BR 4

If you are soviets you shouldnt be seeing tiger 2s though, unless you have BR 4 equipment.

Allies still might (but usually its japan that gets to be br 5)

Sadly BR3 fighting BR4 is only a soft rule which means that if there arent enough players on BR3-4, the match making will drop in BR5 players as well or even worse in some instances drop BR3 player into a match full of BR5 players.

Also the Tiger I H1 which is an early variant Tiger I is BR4, not BR5 like the Tiger I E or Tiger II P/H.
