Thread just to talk about how you feel about Enlisted

From all the constant bitching I see on the forums I tend to think all of you guys are masochist since it seems that you hate Enlisted but continue to play it. What are your thoughts on Enlisted? Do you actually like the game? Where do you think Enlisted will be in a year or two?

For me a great game for casual players like me, The atmosphere is amazing, it reflects the Battle and especially the maps look amazing to me someone who creates these maps is really good at it. In the near future what I would like to see in the game is adding some more realities of combat shooting, movement etc, I don’t mean I want the game to be like HLL but maybe like Red Orchestra? I do not like HLL, although it looks nice too, but it is boring, there is little going on and a lot of running for people who have less time and want to shoot in their free time and be in the middle of the fire immediately after entering the game, this is a perfect game for me. certainly greetings

clarify that most of those who complain are just new players,
anyway about your question enlisted in 2 years I still see it like this only with tunisia and stalingrad added even if the development team can commit to their work it is the basic idea of the game that is wrong, that is to divide each macro map in an assesting campaign for increase its longevity but which in turn dramatically increases the grinding and does not encourage you to continue, if enlisted wants to survive especially in a period of release of fps free to play like: warzone (f2p), battlefield TBA (f2p), halo infinite multilplayer (f2p), the division heartland (f2p), fortnite (f2p),apex (f2p) 3 things must change besides the normal development improvements

  1. grinding: drastically reducing premium or non-premium one way in my opinion would be to give one percentage point of additional experience to each level completed
  2. campaign: each campaign must then be large, have more maps and not be a single macro map divided into several parts
  3. end game: enlisted is lacking in end game content after completing every faction what i do? nothing expects wait for the next faction to be added.

I love the game. Have played it pretty much daily since I picked it up at the end of May. There are definitely things that need work, but overall I enjoy the asymmetry and the game types. Wish Assault would come back, I really enjoyed them even if it was like pulling teeth to win as the attacker.

I can only say that i ’ m Forgotten Hope 2 veteran so i was looking in similar experience and this game is great replacement in my opinion. It had some balance issues, bugs etc. but it is my favorite game and makes me happy to play it

What I like:

  • Bolt action rifles are amazing. I have never played with sniper rifles etc in other games, but in enlisted I love them.
  • Optymalization and amazing graphics. It’s the first FPS that runs on high on my potato PC with stable 60 fps. (Not really a gameplay feature but for me it’s important.)
  • Idea of bots, but it needs more time.
  • Vehicles. Quire OP but outside of that they are really nice mix of arcade and sim approatch.

What I don’t like:

  • Run and gun gameplay. For me this game is simply too fast, it reminds me CoD a lot. It could be a bit slower (explanation for idiots: a bit slower ≠ walking sim).
  • Small maps (explanation for idiots: I mean playable area). I used to play BF quite a lot and in Enlisted I feel very limited. I want to push the enemy, but after 20m there is a grey zone.
It’s really pissing me off on the 1st point on the Arifield map in Normandy.

What I whink about the future:

  • I would like this game to be a sim but with arcade elements that make gameplay faster and easier to learn, like for example tanks are now: limited vision (sim) but option to repair anyting (arcade).
But it’s a wish, not a prediction what will happen.
  • It’s hard to tell more. Without roadmap or anything related to the future development it’s hard to tell what will happen to the game. And analysing previous patches doesn’t help as they sometimes contradict each other.

This game sure is not the Red Orchestra 2 successor I was looking for but this game has potential and they did something different compared to other shooters in the market with the squads mode. I only wish they have a plan on what to do on the existing campaigns though as playing the same maps over and over across various campaigns can be tiring. Also some missing stuff like some iconic guns on certain campaigns and the map that tackles the storming of the Reichstag where we fight inside the Reichstag which is one of the iconic battles during the Berlin campaign.

I honestly love this game. For me the combination of FPS and MMO is just pertfect. I almost stopped playing warthunder. Im herding my soldiers and it is a great fun to make them deadly veterans. All I want to see is just more historical uniforms, customizations, medals. I also really would like to play Stalingrad with all this famous divisions. Storming house of specialists, l-shaped building with squads definatelly would be great fun for me

It’s good but i’d like if someone could explain how I get shot in a deep hole abd why flamethrowers kill you through walls

Game is good, except like spawn protection, free to play which adds alot of noobs, trolls and not commited players. Bad playerbase with no inclination of helping team.

Today I played a game, normandy, no1 reinforced the first bunker, I was solo trying to deal with the shermans in my tank, no plane to help or second tank, nor any anti tank squads.

When I asked help on point they said they def not coming to point.

So mostly I think the players attitude stinks cause they are all trying to camp to get good score, while I have to solo cap, solo def, solo tank or whatever. Which is wierd since I always end up at the top of the game if I dont leave cause above reasons.
The bots in team doesnt help neither.

I agree - I come from a wargaming background, where game play is the main reward, not upgrading characters & equipment, and it seems to me that gameplay is what Enlisted is missing most.

That said, I do like the fast paced games, and the nature of the game is enjoyable enough for what it is.

My FEELS about ENLISTED?? I feel like burying my hatchet in my enemy’s skull, then shooting him in the chest for good measure. Isn’t that what this thread is about?

Movement can be better animated, a lot of people just instantly doing 180s while moving and instant drops. I would like to see turning movement more fluid and realistic.

The uniforms are just bad. They need to get new human models. The weapons and tank models are excellent but the 3D player models are bad and the uniforms are generally not mimicing the real gear well and historically incorrect uniforms for the campaigns.

With that being said, should be more detail to history and the units, you have the NKVD being a mortar squad, a German sapper unit unlocking FG42s, just bizarre progression unlocks really that can be corrected easily with some additional attention to detail.

Normandy should feature British and Canadian units since they also participated jointly with the Americans and you see the commonwealth weapons featured in Normandy. To be honest, these weapons should be limited to appropriate countries as the American military is very standardized with equipping GIs with standard issue gear unlike the axis. Let Normandy also be more unique in that have the Ostwinds and Wirbelwinds rolling about, have interesting buildable AA implacements for Germans. Bring in armored cars for battle is Moscow as well.

Berlin should be way more different than the other theaters, there should be some actually unique weapons to Berlin such as night vision, curved barrels, king tigers, is-2s, many different panzerfausts variants, the portable volksturm flamethrowers, Katyushka barrage, German jets, goliaths, etc. Berlin is a place for the latest technology of ww2 and also the most bizarre last ditch technology.

I hope to see some more unique units such as the Soviet Naval infantry, Soviet paratroopers in its proper theater, Straf Battalions, waffen ss, brandenburgers, British infantry and paratroopers, Canadian, the Italians(in its proper campaign of course), proper fallschirmjager, German Luftwaffe ground forces (for Normandy particularly).

Agree with much of your post, but hte idea that Berlin should have jets and curved barrels, or that some of these things were the latest technology or should be limited to Berlin seems a bit silly.

The night vision Panthers, and associated infantry, for example, were either in Hungary or on the Western front in 1945 - accounts apparently conflict. Goliaths were old tech from 42 or 43 - and were last seen in Normandy and the Maritime Alps - not Berlin AFAIK, Me-262 were all over the Western theater from late 1944, not so much the Eastern front, and so on.

I really REALLY hope they do not exacerbate he silliness of putting weapons and systemms into hte game where they were either not used at all, or are in inappropriate situations or numbers - really ruins the game IMO - there are other fantasy games for that.

these 2 were already in the first berlin alpha test last year

Overall, I enjoy the game, though I do wish there were larger maps so that it’s not such a kluge of arms length death all the time. Being able to actually employ fire and maneuver tactics would be nice. You can do that to some degree on a couple of the Normandy maps. I’m hoping North Africa has a lot of nice, open areas. The game keeps getting better and better though, overall.

The game is unplayable at the moment. So many noobs in tanks that dont help, friendly fire artillery strike on point where Im defending solo for most of the game, no spawn points built.

I wish this would be a more hardcore shooter, but right now it feels like a arcade at best, even BF is more hardcore tbh.

Every game I play feels horrible cause of team, every fucking game! Im so sick and tired of all these noobs and bots, cant trust ur team to do anything.

Tanks just stand and shoot inf while I get a pounding from shermans trying to face off against shermans and planes, also attacking is WAAAAY easier than defending!

I like it.

Like TovarishToNy, I came here looking for Red Orchestra’s successor (at least covering ww2) it is not exactly that, but it does cover this “itch” I had. In between I was also playing H&G (and even with all the bad things people say, it was a fun game) I see Enlisted a bit like a mix of both those games, and I might play it for a while.

Yes, there’s flaws. But the devs, contrary to what some might say, are very active and constantly correct bugs and update things… wich is more than MANY game out here have… I’m patient, I’m sure the game will get even better, if we give it time.

Greetings, fellow man of culture. Enlisted gives me the warm fuzzies that FH2 gave me with all the weapon autism (multiple variants, accurate models) and attention to detail on all equipment.

I can reference a memoir from “in thefire of the Eastern Front” that they were still using goliaths against soviets on 1945. Currently Berlin features way too many old weapons such as the AVS-36 (which was completely phased out of the red army by Battle of Moscow, a 30s flamethower (wouldn’t it make more sense to have the volksturm flamethrowers although as unconventional as they were in reality) think it be much more appropriate to have mainly the latest and also “different” weapons seen for Berlin.
