Thompson M1928 USMC rate of fire is incorrect

The Thompson Model 1921/28 Navy contract SMG (Thompson M1928 USMC in-game, used by 2nd Marine Raider Battalion Premium Squad) was modified to fire at around 600 rounds-per-minute. This should be reflected in-game.

The 1921 has a rate of fire of 960.
The 1921/28 overstamp (intentionally modified to have a lower cyclic rate) were 830.
I’m not sure what the M1928A1 rate of fire was, theoretically it should be the same as the overstamp but I suspect it probably differed again.
I believe the M1 should have a higher cyclic rate than the 1921/28 because they briefly thought lowering the rate of fire was a bad idea and increased it again.
Then they drastically lowered it with the M1A1 with the slowest cyclic rate of 655.

So I’m pretty sure that the USMC Thompsons had a pretty significant rate of fire. I’m not in-game but I’m pretty sure they are supposed to be very early thompsons. Which is also why they have 20 round magazines, because the 30 round box magazine wasn’t produced until something like 1941 when the 20 round magazine was clearly insufficient and the expensive drum magazines Auto Ordinance kept trying to shill didn’t function reliably, especially so in inclement weather, as well as being all-around cumbersome.

Idk where you got your information, but here’s the evidence. You can’t argue with real-life testing. :man_shrugging:

Update: Apparently Ian had the numbers wrong on paper and inserted the actual rate of fire in the footage, so no change is necessary.
