Yesterday I posted a snapshot of what I considered a perfect match. I ended fourth in my team, not first and almost everyone was (VERY) experimented on both sides. It was DIFFICULT, but so, so fun.
“Look at your score, bud, wow”
With the score alone I could feel like my new pfp, sure:
But the problem is… Well it wasn’t fun. I was probably extremely unpleasant for the other team as well. I HAD to get into my “tryhard” mode just because there was a worthwhile +200% booster on… Normally I would just have let my camping team (would you believe it if I tell you they were HUMANS??? they kept spawning tanks or hiding in sniper spots…) suffer the consequences and merrily fly to hunt stukas (there was a ton) in my tiny clown fighter plane.
So yes ladies and gents. This was the daily “we need some form of mm” post.
good evening to all, and stay in your Christmas spirit!
I have arrived to a point where I am very close to have all my campaign are maxed.
So I can Enjoy doing nothing if my team do the same: I take a plane, take a sniper, use a motor bike, build a MG nest or a canon.
All those stuff I would never do if I wanted to tryhard or gain a lot of exp.
While I’m high lvl enough in Moscow allies to normally not having to worry too much (when you unlock ppsh41… it’s a no brainer) and do exactly like you: I mess around and try funny, but rarely safe, things. Like how many loopings I can do with my fighter plane? Can I jump dunes with a bus while in the middle of a firefight?
That sort of thing.
But that +200% booster… arg. Makes us realize grinding might be a bit long…
Imagine unironically wanting MM or even SBMM. You complain about having to “tryhard” but you’re advocating for matchmaking? All that is going to do is force you to sweat more to win. Enlisted should stay a casual game, if you want matchmaking or ranked gameplay go play the events.
I’ve suggested on here before there should be a ranked match option - in a ranked match you could gain ranking points and extra xp - but would not be able to choose your side or campaign - that way it’s easier to group you with other players of the same rank. Maybe even make it an all or nothing mode - winners get double, losers get nothing - force it to be team effort and remove the incentive for kill farming soloists to exploit it.
In a casual match - no rank points and normal xp - so less reward - but you’d be able choose what you play, to level whatever you need to. Basically all as it is now, but without ranking.
That would of course also require that ranks have more depth to attain them rather than just play loads and you’ll inevitably become a marshal no matter your skill.
Personally for me the perfect match is when both teams arent filled with complete tryhards who spam the most exploitable stuff in the game. Explosives SFs, autos e.x
The matches where people have mostly their historical gear and are filled with players are the most fun, since the game slows down a bit, i can go play any kind of playtyle i like, but when i am up against MKB/AVS spammers you have to turn tryhard mode on, and the game just becomes frustrating.
Imagine if you’d carefully read what I wrote and saw the post from before yesterday I referred to:
What I hate is having to carry. In this match, I had to because the rest of the team was either inexperienced, bots, or just sniper campers.
Before yesterday, I posted my “perfect match” where I did NOT finish first in my team, but fourth. Yet I loved it: didn’t have to carry, could try different tactics other than being the only one swarming the cap. I played.
And that was the essence of my post, that many’s brains have trouble to fathom for some reason. You should’ve seen the match from my post 2 days ago. 10 vs 10, all experienced players, all human ofc. It was majestic. I didn’t need to carry which meant I could use other stuff than just easy mode assaulters.
I wonder what “premium vs f2p vs battlepass vs not vs ect.” has anything to do with the (lack of) matchmaking I’m talking about in the op.
If anything, a simple MM would benefit even you, oh offended player who seems to have a grudge against anything that isn’t handed effortlessly to you for free.
It means that Free to Play players - like myself - are less likelly to bother playing Stalingrad and Pacific (I personally play them to just complete daily tasks and not much else).
Because, for the most part, their grind is wasted 1/3 times, as the “unlocked” equipment is locked behind a paywall, not to mention of soldier (and weapon, though, these can be bypassed by bringing stuff in from other campaigns) level-up restrictions.
Depending on how matchmaker would work, this could affect how difficult it is to fill the matches in certain campaigns.
Wy? Pacific is free and stalingrad full access is fake, in what way f2p are penalized?, im f2p and still i own almost all the match aganaist p2w with their shiny 4man assaulter squad
