I looked around a bit at the descriptions of the Japanese weapons when I came across this:

I interpret it as meaning that the Type 100 in 8mm should do more than the MP34. But when I double-checked, I was met with this instead.

I mean…5.9 is a bit higher then 5.6

Japanese S1-100 (MP34) were not even chambered in 7.65 to begin with, Japanese had them in 7.63x25 Mauser.
MP34 8mm Nambu? Im not even sure what this is supposed to mean, the MP34 was never chambered in 8mm Nambu, smells like a terrible translation error to be honest.
I guess its supposed to be something like “Chambered in 8mm Nambu cartridge which is more powerful than the MP34 pistol cartridge”
Type 100 used to have 7.2 damage until recently but it had to be nerfed so the statement was true in game for years, as for how true it is in reality… lets just say that 8mm nambu is not a good cartridge.

This is also the direct result with them trying to balance Japan for playing in Manchuria where ststs of weapons were moved back and forth to compete with Soviet weaponry.

Incorrect. It was done before Manchuria when there was a change in weaponry rate of fire based on historical document for a significant amount of Japanese weaponry.

Wasn’t that when they started teasing about Manchuria, then took a year to release it? I remember stats continually going up and down, especially for the smgs…at one point the forum was lit up about how OP they were so they kept rebalancing.

After the rate of fire change players complained that 810 RoF and 7.2 dmg was too high so after a while it was reduced to 6.7 damaged but it’s BR changed by roughly I on some SMG.

This was done even before the teasing of Manchuria.

Right, I had completely forgotten that the RoF and dmg were changed a while ago. But shouldn’t the text be updated? It feels a bit wrong to have a description that isn’t accurate.
