My first game in Normandy and i came in late in to total chaos (Well done with the map design as usual DF, you have impressed me with every so far). I dont even know the map layout at all and was bit lost in that regard and still managed to perform decently against high ranked US forces with 500kg bombs everywhere, Jumbo, Thompson you name it. Sure i got some experience from Moscow which hardened me up a bit but still i only had rly stocked weapons.
Ps. I totally love the Mannlicher xD

well its not all in tools is who is behid them.
Well thing is what i wanted to point out that you can still be effective with stock weapons against high tier weaponry which negates the p2w aspect part of it.
And this was mostly head to head situations with lesser flanking and outsmarting involved which youre describing per say even if i know what you mean ^^ But sure aiming and reactions helps ofc but im not that good of a player even if i have my powerplay moments
Moscow would have given you some good experience, as for Normandy it’s a really fun intense campaign, enjoy! Then suggest Berlin, leave Tunisia for now…
Yeah so ive noticed ^^ Second game was rly intense with the Allies dominating from all sides. Killed an M4M2 with my SDkFz though ^^ and whoever says the Grease gun sucks have no clue in smg fighting ^^ Its slow for sure but pretty capable. They are prob spoiled by the PPD performance xD

If you can unlock it, so can the enemy, thus no p2w.
Then again, if there is something that you can ONLY buy which also gives you an advantage over your opponent, then you’ll have good “old pay to win”.
So I really cant see why anyone would claim the game to be said thing.
The only questionable thing in my opinion is the lack of unlocking squad slots, and the new premium MG squads with a pioneer in them. The premium vehicles dont seem broken to me as it is. Anyone got experience with the firefly?
Yeah when someone has more squads then you they sure have some advantage to adapt whats needed during the battle for sure but that doesnt mean that the team can add in support asw during that time
mainly talking about the power to vehicle spam, cuz yes it doesnt change how many vehicles you can have in total, but let me tell you, having one dedicated tanker who can focus and revenge kill is a benefit to the team.
what i ment asw and can agree. But there is restrictions or how many at the same time though. And everyone has at least one vehicle each so the battlefield will look the same basically. How that applies with different levels facing each other thats another thing

i do too its great i just wish they would add it to the Tunisian campaign
The Germans get insanely good stuff on Normandy the choice of small arms is fantastic.
yea good point actually i really do wish they would do the bayonet event every month or so.
Tunisia needs the Mannlicher and M1918 and Id be one happy guy.

If you hardened yourself like me in Moscow, you’ll have a clear advantage over others, because you mastered bolt actions. And how convenient is this that the STARTER stock rifle German soldiers get is one of the best all around, any campaign taken into account!
What I’ve found here is that people tend to switch very quickly to automatics and semi autos, forgetting how great bolt actions are… And like you, I love the fast firing mannlichter! As such, you’ll have the advantage over them (well, from afar).

think the Russian bolt actions where pretty capable asw. Havent tried the US yet though.
To me the Mannlichter felt bit worse then Kar98 in fire rate (the mantle movement takes forever) and long distance shooting (ik the stats shows that the Mann is better but still). Reason why i loved it was its such an rusty old gun but still hits like an Kar so its fun to shoot with ^^
The mann felt better at mid range accuracy wise and reminds me of the Zh-29. When i tried to hit with it at long i missed quite often compared to when i shifted to my other guy with the Kar. But that can also be because im used to the Kar but i was pretty spot on in the sight.
