when browsing topics in a section, you can see number of replies, number of views and last activity:
here are some stats taken from some topics… (i skipped the first, because they were new and had low view count)
scroll for yourself and you will see that topics with view count below 100 are uncommon
yet, when looking at topics, its rare to see them having over 20-30 likes
so who are those people then? and how come they dont interact with topics?
do they understand that by interacting with topics, they might create some impact on what gets implemented into game and what not?
But do you think this is wrong? Let them do this, in the end it is critic, and they say something about part of the game they think is not working. So over all it can be productive critic.
its a indication some topics are not worth even replying or worth the like if the content isnt worth.
all of us, if you check under users, will have more topics saw , than answers we gave on forum . some topics, are just not worth. i would say most of them.
I pretty much try to read through all the topics and put likes where I feel strongly towards, but oftentimes I fail to find a useful bit of discussion that is worth my like.
It is possible, that partially due to large amounts of text, there are a few places where I simply disagree with OPs suggestion/opinion, simply due to 1 or 2 statements/assumptions in an otherwise good suggestions/point.
There’s also a bit of personal bias as well - there are some folks on the forum whose posts I rarelly, if ever, like, possibly due to some unpleasant previous discussion/seriously diverging opinions.
Lastly, it may be, at least, I with some naivetty hope, that some of the devs actually visit and read the forums, even though they do so incognito, for various reasons.
