This game reminds me of Call of Duty: World at War

This game reminds me of World at War (the best call of duty game) and I love it!

Today the development team had to screw us over because some individuals decided to exploit the custom games system and Im no longer mad because the custom games PvE will return.

How this game reminds me of waw is with its gritty atmosphere and realistic weapons (Except for the recoil)

Improve weapon realism by reducing recoil.

When a weapon is firing 900+ RPM it causes recoil to be consistent and very easy to control like a pressure washer.

For instance a PPS-43 fires at a rate of 700 rpm and isn’t fast enough to be consistent so it bounces around between shots causing more felt recoil.

However a smg like the PPSh-41 Fires at 900 or even 1300 witch is fast enough to be consistent like a pressure washer. It also has a built-in muzzle break and compensator that pushes the muzzle down and to both sides equally to have less muzzle rise.

And if a gun fires slow enough like the M3 and M3A1 Grease Guns the time between shots is long enough to cancel out most of the felt recoil before it fires again (please improve the sound of the Grease Guns like Battlefield 5)

So let’s talk about weapons individually for improvement!

Accessories like extended mags or drums on certain weapons.

All Thompsons bolts should lock open on last round with 20 or 30 round stick mags (not on drums)

M1921AC, M1928, and M1928A1 Thompsons can use 50 or 100 round drums.

Some PPD-40 and PPSh-41 drums were interchangeable.

M1 Carbine:
Reduce recoil by alot.

M1A1 Carbine:
A lighter M1 Carbine with slightly more recoil and idle sway.

M2 Carbine:
Reduce recoil by alot.

M2A1 Carbine:
A lighter M2 Carbine with slightly more recoil and idle sway.

M1 Thompson
Reduce Recoil by alot.

M1A1 Thompson
A slightly lighter and slower firing M1 Thompson with slightly more recoil.

M1928A1
Reduce recoil by alot.

M1921/28
Reduce recoil by alot.

I will update this list later!

idk about reducing recoil as i never fired a gun before. Is it really true?
maybe dev put it to prevent full auto from becoming a laser.
also Russian SMG recoil already low enough. e̶n̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶p̶l̶a̶i̶n̶

Whait, what?
I haven’t played with US weapons much but I would say that recoil is already low, especially on SMGs.

Actually why do I still give a fuck about this game?

Exactly which weapons recoil harder than is realistic?

TBF, they could put the sights a realistic distance from our faces, too, which would reduce the affect recoil has on how much of the gun is crawling into my eye sockets.

Not to be rude, but have you ever fired and automatic weapon, standing? This isn’t a universal truth, or even close. Guns like the Thompson climb because of how far dropped the butt is vs barrel line, while guns like the FG42 and AR15 are easier to manage because the stock is inline with the whole gun.

These guns are already honestly more controllable than they maybe should be, but I guess if we assume every soldier using them has 1000s of hours experience doing so, I can suspend my disbelief there.

Can. Even the brits stopped doing that before tunisia, for the most part, but if we have to have them, 50 is fine. 100 would be tipping the balance even further into the alllies’ advantage.

Agreed, and make sure the animation matches the specs.

Nah, the thompson was hard to control and expensive to produce, which is basically the entire reason they were replaced by the M3.

try to get -40% reduced reccoil on soldier and all auto smg and semi rifles are very fun to use

Recoil in real life is complicated, most ww2 submachine guns had none because of there rate of fire being slow enough or fast enough to cancel out felt recoil.
