This game needs a new look!

A map of the Normandy coastal defenses. On maps like these, the defenders rely on mobile mortar systems and mortar carriers, howitzers to protect the coast and engage enemy infantry and vehicles, while the attackers rely on warships and aircraft carriers to bombard the coast and defensive systems. Otherwise, this map bears no resemblance to the Normandy landings. The next update (in May or June) should mention the ability to demolish all buildings, the ability for engineers to build two-story concrete walls or buildings, and the ability for radio operators to request necessary materials for engineers.

Sounds like the amount of content they’ll manage to bring with the rest of their life time

But I think they should still focus on this.

Back in a day engineers could stack sandbags on each other and I remember me building makeshift bunker with my friends, it’s a lot of fun for sure. That said though, function like this was removed for a reason, I can totally imagine problems they have to face (like climbing onto map elements that weren’t meant to be climbed).

What you are proposing is gonna change the dynamic of this game in a huge way, larger than the sandbag stacking element. I’d imagine an overhaul of gameplay in the regarding maps you are mentioning. It’s gonna take a gigantic amount of work to do it, and given the current state of the game I question if they still have the resource in their studio. Post WW2 stuff already went for War Thunder now and as much as I hate to say it, that’s not a great news for this game. Personally I do play both games a lot but I God Darn Hate War Thunder, It’s literally 5 times more grindy and the environment is garbage compare with this game (Pay to win, cheaters, etc.).

That said, it’s indeed a great shame. Daggor engine, which is the game engine this game is using, is one of the best I’ve seen in the industry (yap I’m a game dev myself), It’s capable of so many stunning things, especially when we are talking about the size of the battlefield. If Gaijin have the determination to throw in resources for this game, those things you’ve mentioned and even more could be accomplished with no problem, yet we all know it’s not happening.

All I could do is to show my support by playing this game and engaging in community, and wish one day Gaijin sees that this is their better kid.

I hope Gaijin does these things soon.

Nah they will focus on delling you premiums and adding FOMO events

And lets be real if developers should focus on something that must be Optimization hell even there are some topic that seems that some ppl with cracked PCs (and with more than 4vram) are suffering

Unfortunately, they were a bit lazy, especially last year.

ngl i do agree, Hell Let Loose captures the feeliing of DDAY A LOT better than Enlisted. It is brutal, scaling big hills, like 0 cover, trench warfare after clearing the bunkers. it is an absolute slaughter - but that was DDAY. I defo agree, it needs a rework

Almost no progress was made in the game last year. It’s hard to understand why Gaijin adds so few vehicles to the game, especially in War Thunder, despite having so many vehicles already. There are a bunch of ships in War Thunder, and nobody’s playing with them. Some of them are World War II ships. They could be added to the Normandy and Pacific battles, and the game would become much more adrenaline-pumping.Additionally, amphibious vehicles and a controllable aircraft carrier should be added from the ships.Artillery pieces capable of lifting vertically, mobile howitzers, and mobile mortars carriers should be added. So now they need to add more advanced mortar and howitzer systems to enable their troops to strike at the desired location.

I agree within reason, I love the idea of loads of vehicles but want to avoid some vehicle bloat - but I agree, they have imported vehicles, there is nothing stopping them from importing more

Ships would be a cool concept, it would definitely expand the combined arms aspect, but it would also need an extreme overhaul in the maps themselves to accomodate naval combat. Would also need an icnreased player count in the maps. I remember BF1 did this excellently, in maps u could pilot battleships on naval landings (think Gallipoli) and there were also maps which directly accommodated naval combat, so could be looked at. If maybe similar concepts were looked at and implemented, I see no reason why DDAY / other maps could not adopt similar designs.

Agree, especially for beach landing based maps in the Pacific and Normandy. I really love HLL for this reason, as ur original spawn is on a landing craft, I even think on some battlefield maps u have choice as to where to land ur landing craft, which brings in an element of flanking / strategy which is v welcomed. I also really think Enlisted would benefit from more cinematic openings, like spawning on a carrier and getting into a landing craft / amphibious craft as opposed to being directly on the beach

I don’t really have strong views about this, I think we already have mortier men / squads? Is this not adequate?

No, my friend, in this game only mortars hit distant targets; tanks and anti-tank guns need to get as far as they can see before firing because they don’t fire vertically. I researched a few additional vehicles online. For example, the Type 4 Ha-To for Japan, and for Germany, the Sturmtiger, Wespe, Hummel, Grille, and also the Sd.Kfz. 250/7. For America: M21 Mortar Motor Carriage, M4 Mortar Carrier, M12 Gun Motor Carriage, and M7 Priest. For the Soviets: 280 mm mortar M1939 (Br-5). Some of these have heavy weapons, some are light; some can fire even at distant infantry without seeing them, just by getting coordinates; some are effective against heavy tanks and ships; and their massive cannons create an explosion large enough to send many infantrymen flying into the air.

It would be nice if the invasion mode were at least a little balanced. When the attacking side is on the verge of defeat (I’m writing a scenario in theory…), the Radist call Mılıtary Transport Plane the , and all players can move to any location they want. However, the plane requires 20mm cannons for self-defense, and due to its large size, it will be difficult to shoot down instantly. After successfully landing, players can attack and capture the point, thus avoiding defeat (experienced players, of course). This won’t take an hour; it just gives you a chance to win. It’s best to use this towards the end of the game, as calling the Radioman isn’t always possible. The Radioman is necessary, and he’s only available every 3-5 minutes. He adds 100 points when your score is tied. This is similar to the points earned for capturing a point.

ngl, it usually is balanced if ur team builds rallies. if they negate this fact, ur gonnu have a tough time

Rally points aren’t always effective and are often destroyed by skilled competitors.

then build a new one - literally the outcome of a match is decided by how much u can flood a point / with enough firepower. build a rally - u increase the reinforce rate

Why are so many people on this forum so prejudiced against innovations related to this game?

im not prejudiced… but the invasion mode is not unbalanced. it just requires a good time to build rallies

Maps are also way too small to have most of the stuff you’re talking about in game, and if maps were made larger it would no longer be the same game. It would be more like battle field at that point. I think a lot of people enjoy the smallness to keep a higher action rate. But it would be too much action with warships, full size artillery pieces, etc. I do quite enjoy the current normandy map. I wouldn’t be opposed to a completely new map though that offered some better representation. The Normandy map we have now had also been through several iterations because people complained a lot about the lack of cover and it being a slaughter fest. It wasn’t very fun back in the day lol.

New maps could be added to enhance the new features, such as the Siege of Sevastopol, the Battle of Iwojima, and Operation Husky. Also, a second person camera view should be added for vehicles, similar to War Thunder. The escape animations of the soldiers should also be made more realistic and improved.
