Thinking outside the box

Sometimes you gotta think outside the box.

Recently, I had bought three flame thrower squads. Two Allied and one Italian. Since I am constantly being shot and killed by the very enemy soldiers I am supposedly incinerating with 1,800 F degree flames, I thought I was better served to send my two fire pissers home and replace them with two Riflemen fresh from Boot. This way, they shoot the same primary weapon, but can carry additional ammo unlike the fire pissers. NTM, their bullets seem to do more damage then the BIC lighters they are apparently armed with. Since I have one more tech tree flame squad and two premium ones, I think I will turn the other flamers into a rifle squad as well.
Allied 18th Infantry no more flamers

I am not huge into sniping, so instead of wasting my three German sniper squads, I just equipped them with StG44’s, removed the scope and have three additional assaulter squads.

So, for you newbies, think outside the box. Oh, and, don’t do drugs.

Is that good or bad?

Or you can just upskill your flamers by not using FT’s for a while and play at BR 1 or 2 with them

It’s just a kick in the balls to look into a room and see six enemy dudes there, turn the flames on and while the entire room is engulfed, a shot rings out from amongst the flames and your dead, only to find you only killed one or two. I would love to meet a guy who could return fire with 1,800 degree flames in his face. So, a semi auto seems to be a better choice. In reality for me, since I have the two premium flamer squads, the TT ones were expendable.

Loose the fire then step sideways so you aren’t the obvious target in the doorway !

I am always moving side to side whilst flaming, but somehow, someone on fire always shoots me.

And stay in school xxx

 I thought about that shortly after I had logged off my computer, but never went back and added it. :joy:

The other day I stabbed the guy who was using a flamethrower on me, got him before I died, I was still in flames. It’s all about causing the maximum disrespect to your enemy and thinking outside the box.

I also removed my mortar men from my Soviet and Allied squads, since I am playing more custom matches and traditional Mortars are not as effective on the maps I am playing. I didn’t send the Mortarmen home, I just replaced them with riflemen so I can carry ammo pouches and can always re add them to the squads. With the Soviets, I am much more effective getting Mortar kills with my RMN-50 squad. I do really like the Smith and Wesson light rifle, and the Soviet KB-P-135 for BR1, so I kept these squads at BR1.
Allied Mortar squad less Mortar men
Soviet Mortar squad 17th Guards less Mortar men
Soviet RMN 50 484th Infantry rifle squad

I think most of the other squads I use as they were intended.
NOTE: My two Mortar squads previously had fully experience maxed soldiers (mostly 2nd and 3rd level soldiers), however last time the mystery box was out, I sent them all home so I could have some gambling silver. It worked out I guess as I won a BR5 Soviet T-34 Tank, two BR3 Sherman tanks, a squad and a couple planes I can’t remember what they were.

I take premium mortar man - take a perk for more mortar shells and give them 4 RMN.
