The order of tank crew needs to change
Current having the commander as one of the first
Two or three unlocked is silly

I want my gunner
Loader
And driver

Driver
Loader
Machine gunner
Commander
Sorry but having my rof drop through the floor because I lost one crew member

Critical movement you can move or you die
You can’t shoot you die
You what have a slightly limited field of view
In a real tank the commander is crucial
If the tank was multiplayer being the only one to talk to the crew would be strong
But I. Enlisted the commander is just an observer
That or allows us to manually foll tank positions
Or set are own priority sorry but commander is not 1 most important crew role to fill

Priority in reality should be this:

  • Gunner
  • Loader
  • Driver
  • Commander
  • Machine Gunner

On the topic of the Machine Gunner seat, it’s completely useless. Why can’t they just scrap it, since it’s only a mechanic on Japanese tanks, and actually makes them less combat effective since the MG seat is taken first before loader, commander or even gunner or driver.

Err… you can…you can select a crew member and swap them into any slot - whether it is occupied or empty

How? Im on console and when i reorganize my crew it refills them in order
and you cant move to the loader position?

I’m on PC, so might not work for conole I guess - I’ll have to play later tonight and check exactly how.

I’m on PC and I never knew this - it would be interesting if that’s the case.

And on the same note, if it is the case, why didn’t the tutorial mention it?

yeah i suffered a lot for lack of a mg or loader forced to have for me a useless commander, if you say switch to mg every bot shifts in priority again taking over for me the useless commander. but if you can order them to a position instead of just swapping with them.

I wasn’t quite right - I think I was conflating moving them around in the squad menu with moving them in game - my mistake sorry.

In game it only works if you have dead crew - you can’t do it with a full crew.

If you have dead crew you can move your current crewman to an empty position - if necessary you can do a bit of a shuffle mkoving 1 then hte next, etc.
