They should instead be for higher-tier rifles such as the M1 Garand, M2 Carbine, etc. Marine squads should replace the low-tier Army squads except for the M1917 Einfield. Otherwise, the Springfield 1903 A1 USMC and the M1 Carbine squad should be Marine squads. Besides, it was more common to see the Marines less equipped than the Army in World War II, so this fits perfectly in Enlisted.

It would be nice to have an actual landing before the match starts. Something like a short scene in call of duty where you rappel from a helicopter or are brought by a transporter.

They could only give a short video, in call of duty you don’t rappel yourself either.
For example, before Wer-sur-mer or d-day there could be just a short landing scene and a countdown.
enlisted devs are really bad in animations in case you didn’t notice, I wouldn’t expect anything like this

It wouldn’t be an animation just a video. They would show you the disembarkation and then you would appear on the beach like now. It could also be actual colorized footage. They could even put it in the loading screen.

There’s no Marine Riflemen squad in the game unfortunately.
IIRC, only MG, assualter, tank, airplane, and certain premium and event squads are marines.

It has nothing to do with it. Your proposal is just another one that will fall into the dust, because 99 percent of people are not interested in this at all. Rather, I see it as another limitation of historical accuracy, which this game is not and will not be. If you want a historically accurate game, look elsewhere. After adding the HO-RI fantasy tank, they definitely buried the hope of any historical accuracy and rather it determines the direction of the game further towards the prototypes and maybe later to the Korean War. And it’s fine as long as the majority of the player base wants it that way. I would also like to play as an American T32 heavy tank.
Do you think I don’t know that? Ask yourself who was the one that kept bringing up the American guns’ bad camera zoom. But even if it is a pile of dust, if you stack it up high enough, someone will see it.
That is why I want this change. It will give us two Marine riflemen squads.
I highly doubt this will happen. They haven’t even updated the existing squads portraits to show the correct gear or vehicle they come with.
And ever since the merger, squad uniqueness and historical ness has been abandoned.
