There is a theoretical destructibility in enlisted, all you need to do is make more fences with a wall texture and a stone road, and so that there are two versions, one destructible and the other non-destructible, and when creating walls and buildings, just an indestructible texture with an entrance point or hole located inside the destructible texture. This will also make the underground part of the building and other objects visible on the maps.
Enlisted already has small destructible buildings. They definitely need to be added more and more. As for more substantial improvements, introducing destructibility should start with the most common structures, which are present in large numbers on almost every map. Surfaces should also be divided into destructible and indestructible. For example, upper floors could be completely destroyed, while lower floors could only have their outer walls destroyed, but in such a way that a 1.5-2 meter wall remains at the edges, which can still be used for cover. Then maps will not turn into empty fields and will continue to play well.
The game also already has destructed versions of some buildings. A system could be implemented whereby entire buildings would change their model to a destructed one after artillery strikes or direct hits from rockets and bombs.
It’s also worth considering that navmeshes for bots are built once and don’t rebuild during combat. For example, on the career map, there was a plank that bots used to climb to the next level, but it was destructible, and when it was destroyed, the bots simply ran into the wall in this place. Such situations should be avoided when implementing destructibility.
It worked in the editor and the online game will work. I just copied textures from the map.
The developers just need to make fences destructible and indestructible with the appearance of roads, walls, roofs and other elements of the environment.
