The Yokosuka P1Y1 Ginga (銀河一一型, ‘Galaxy’ model 11), known by US aviators as “Frances”, was an IJN dive bomber made after examining a purchased Ju-88 A from Germany. It lacks any pilot controlled weapons, but it does have two gunners that use 20mm cannons, one in the nose and a dorsal mount, but there are large dead zones that the guns can’t hit. The maximum normal speed is 546 Kph, which despite it being a much bigger and heavier aircraft, is slightly faster than the D4Y1. It climbs at 10.2 degress per second, which is again somehow slightly better than the D4Y1 by 0.9 degress more per second. In WT, so a smaller number in enlisted, it has a turn speed of 26 seconds.
This plane’s internal bomb bay can carry a variety of bombs, one option is a pair of two 250kg bombs, although this would be a huge dissapointment for it to have these when the Ki-100 would have the same payload but better in every way. However, this plane could also mount two 500kg bombs or even the 800kg bomb as seen on the Kikka, which these would, in my opinion be much better.
I think that at BR5, this would be too weak compared to other planes with better options for a BR5 attacker, but would be alright at BR4, and you could even make a case for it to BR3 possibly considering it’s downsides. Either way, a heavy bomber for Japan will be nice since there are only smaller single engine ones in game now.
