unfair advantage is fair because players paid for with customization orders.
Japanese sword can be purchased for the standard in-game currency.
Now, let me get this straight.
For every other faction silver is THE CURRENCY, they can only buy things with silver.
But Soviets can buy 10% damage reduction with customization orders. Not the actual game currency. For all other factions, the soldier customization is just a fashion choice and personalization gimmick.
How entitled does someone need to be to think that they deserve special treatment because they spent gimmick currency.
btw, you get 240 customization orders per BP and body armour costs 8 per soldier.
Thats 8x7 for the average squad, 168 in every campaign.
Meaning you can equip 1 and a half squads with every session, not taking into account that some soldiers get body armour by default.
You can get enough customization orders for 4 squads in 3 BP sessions. (105 days)

Body armor has 10% damage reduction, back when FG-42 had 14.4 DMG it meant that a soldier with both body armor and vitality perk would need an extra shoot to be killed (base HP is 10, plus vitality it is 13.5 and 14.4 with 10% damage reduction is 12.96), it is also an extra shot for most axis SMG but the Kiraly. Before the FG-42 DMG buff fighting against tryhards cycling 9 men AVT vitality-body armor golems was a nightmare.
It is kind of funny that both nations that can fight body armor at any BR have the most 14.4 DMG or less semis and almost no 8.0 dmg SMG, unironically the only faction that wouldn’t care about the body armor are the Western allies.

So, someone should pay (BP) to have something while others could have their advanatges for free? Lol, your logic makes soviet set up even more cruel, I have to pay to play with all load out. No, we will count only a free fair way - and its way is years to get this rare uniqe outfit for the 9 men x 3 squads.
In this time folks can buy their singuto after a day active play.
Can I check your last 5 battles and count - how many times you have seen some squads in such load out?
in a free to play game, you always pay. If not with your money, then you pay with your soul.

-10% less damage taken to the torso front and back, even though the armor does not cover the back. There is no downside to this, it is free extra health essentially.
This has a bigger impact than you might think by reducing the ranges in which weapons can down people with 1 or 2 shots. It can also outright just add another bullet required to kill somebody when combined with Vitality (which most serious players use)
Example: Most German SMGs deal 6.8 damage, which means they deal 13.6 damage in two shots up. This means soldiers with vitality (13.5 total hp) still die from 2 shots up close. However, the free 10% damage resistance from the body armor changes that damage break point completely, and now SMGs will need a 3rd shot to kill somebody. This is a significant effect to have in battle, and its all for the low cost of a few appearance orders and no other downside.
Do you think soldier cosmetics available to most squads should be changing the damage breakpoints like that in a PVP environment? For only 1 faction?

It is smoke and mirrors, dishonesty and deception. They are terrified of losing their body armor advantage so they do everything in the power to change the discussion to something else.

You do realize you are perfectly free to go make other discussions about other imbalances in the game, right? When we’re talking about X and people come jumping in screeching about Y, that’s dishonesty.
Go start a fresh discussion somewhere else about anything you wish to see changed in the game, I highly encourage it!

Why is this issue such a problem… you can spam numbers when it doesn’t even matter in game… i won’t die on the same hill i did last time but you have a point.
I’m also pointing out the bias you clearly have… you say japan getting treated special is fine because their tech tree was essentially neglected… so in my opinion that invalidates your opinion on body armor… you don’t care about one imbalance but care so deeply about the other… perhaps that was the intent.

Additionally I just literally do not consider japanese tech tree swords to be an imbalance because swords are available for every faction. You cannot say the same for body armor

Okay and the USA has the M1 carbine in their tech tree but Japan doesn’t have any intermediate carbines. How about we delete the M1 carbine from the game? It’s biased they get an intermediate carbine to spam at low BR but nobody else does
