The Yak-9K in the Soviet BR3 lineup needs to be reclassified as an attacker aircraft

The Yak-9K premium aircraft currently in the Soviet lineup
is assigned to a fighter squadron,
even though the pilot is classified as an attacker pilot.

It appears that the developers intended for it to be an attacker aircraft,
but the pilot assignment was likely set incorrectly by mistake.

This conclusion is supported
by the squadron naming conventions:
typically, fighter squadrons are designated as “Fighter Aviation Regiments,”
while attacker squadrons are designated as “Bomber Aviation Regiments.”

The Yak-9K squadron is clearly classified as a “Bomber Aviation Regiment.”

Please correct the Yak-9K’s squadron assignment to match its classification as an attacker aircraft.

Hmm…
It seems the developers might have overlooked that suggestion.
Let’s consider this post a way to submit the suggestion again!

Ah, is it really necessary?
At the end of the day, this is still a fighter plane.
We shouldn’t reclassify it as an attack aircraft just because it can strike ground targets.
Buffing the fighter’s cannons is not a big deal.

No. It needs to be properly classed as a fighter in the scoreboard.

A plane with no suspended armament belongs nowhere near the attacker slot.

plane is intended to be a fighter, the soldier class is wrong
but afaik thats very hard to change for existing squads
