The US has acquired Stalinium

I’ve never seen a Sherman II take a beating like this. What did they feed this creature. Is it possible for the Japanese to capture this Tech like German rocket launchers???

Seriously though how on earth did this tank not go boom second or at least the third round in?
Would love to see this be simulated with warthunder and see just how absurd this is lol.

Cause that SAP shell only got 100mm pen
The true value of chiha LG is being the largest caliber HE gun in BRII, not as a tank destoryer

It only got… 3 HE shells.

poor canon is a meme…

I remember having a lot of trouble trying to detonate that thing with a remote charge.

Apparently, you simply encountered a tank crewed by the main characters in this film. The guy you killed with the grenade launcher had a very long, dramatic scene where he died on the commander’s hands.

I know but the strangest thing to me is that I’ve punched through many a Sherman II on its cheeks. Plus whenever I don’t punch through the HE is usually enough to annihilate them. This was just such a weird case from the experience I’ve had lmao

Oh I see, I forgot I was only a supporting character in the film, it all makes sense now

Well its protected by Plot Armor and sadly you are playing with the bad guys so yeah  Next time read the plot this Sherman is not supposed to die in this scene

It’s because he/you kept shooting the top of the turret. Shermans blow with 1 hit to the hull.

It’s SAP shell have almost same amount of tnt (1.9kg/2kg)

Sherman’s are notorious for having very effective armour especially in the front

While sap can work as HE it often still is worse as dedicated HE replacement as it might not always fuze correctly on terrain or just bounce entirely as the angle needed for a bounce is more punishing on AP.

The angles definitely help. But the strange and part is even with the vast majority of front on angles the SAPCBC pens with upwards of 20mm to spare. It was just my day to play the role as the side character whilst the main character was in front of me lol

You can front pen sherman turrets with SAPCBC with an upwards excess pen of 20mm. I just got gaijined lmao

Here I placed a Sherman II at a similar distance front facing and penning through the turret cheeks. Just bad luck on my end

Yes, i understand. You did penn it every shot in the original video it appeared. It was just hitting really high up on the turret and not splashing down enough to blow ammo racks. My point was that if you had penned the hull frontally it would of most likely popped first shot, where as hitting high on the turret is way more RNG

Oh definitely hull is best choice but I just didn’t want to risk hitting and of the ground cover they had due to their position so I went for turret cheeks. And in the clip none of them penned the second shot after I directly shoot the commander was just damage to the external components. I just got really unlucky that nothing penned at all. My fault for not trying to hit the turret ring at least tho hahahah
