The T34 model 1942 - an upgrade of the model 1941

The T34 series of tanks was the most produced tank of WW2 by far, and is the world’s second most produced tank of all time. Due to this, there were quite a few variants made over it’s lifetime. One of those is the 1942 model of the tank, which I think would be a good addition to the game. This was an improvement of the 1941 model made to streamline production, with one of the largest improvements being the new hexagonal turret which gave more room for the crew to operate and thickened the armor to 53mms all around. Additionally, the driver’s hatch is quite visually different, resulting in Germans calling it “Mickey Mouse” because of the shape. Additionally, the ammo storage was increased from 77 rounds in the 1941 model to 100 shells in the 1942 model. This was one of if not the most mass produced versions of the 76mm T34s, and is one of the most iconic versions of the tank.

While it wouldn’t be a neccesary addition, it would still be cool to have one of the most recognizable versions of the T34 available to use in the tech tree. It wouldn’t be pointless either, it’s a decent upgrade to the existing T34 1941, with a better turret and more ammunition.

Should the T34 1942 be added to the Soviet tech tree?

I make my loadouts chronologically so I’d love to have this. The more vehicles the better!

No reason not to but no reason to besides cycling. Completely neutral on this

Good for variation. Americans have m4a1 and m4a2 and germans have panzer 4g, f2, j and h.

i’m a bit conflicted.

as i’d rather see the T34-1943

but at the same time, why not both.

much like the shermans or panzer IV series, so should the T34s have couple more of variants.

Granted, the T34 57 is technically, better. but more is always welcome, and better to have.
