Look I understand the Devs are putting effort on developing the “New Merge” System

Yes I noticed they also has priority to announce their new Sniper squad for Pacific, they clearly need more money after all the discount and Paratrooper sale… then they do funny stuff like removing $talingrad bundle when the new merge is nowhere close to release, guess they also hate money too

Ok just want to express these before I start the topic

Look, the game is falling apart, I don’t really need to tell you the state of the game if you play this game more than a week and spending more than 2 hours on it every day, but if you don’t know that I can point out some issue I keep getting

-Stabbing people with bayonet cause zero damage, even the getting hit animation is playing right in front of my eyes, and guess what happens next

-Throwing det pack below the tank cause the det pack clip under the floor and disappear, throwing above the tank cause them bounce off, even I timed the det pack explode right after hitting the tank with it, there is a small chance of dealing zero damage because, I dunno? And if I timed a bit less to make sure the det pack land on it and expect it to clip through the tank, works 50/50 and the othet 50 is it bounce off 1mm and deal zero damage, wow

-AI having pathfinding issue, and they stuck at every stair and window they can

-Something wrong with hit registration, and is not an internet issue cuz I don’t remember playing other game ever have this issue

-Server struggle sometimes, squeeze the hamster pls

-Map design, I don’t understand why a map filled with buildings, you spawn outside, in the open?

-wacky tank hit registration with rocket, I don’t remember hitting the side hull of Puma with M1 Bazooka only damage the rubber tires? And is inconsistent

-climbing windows is a like hang yourselves for few seconds, good luck climb one in the middle of firefight

-there is more but I keep it short, and I am writing this in my break time

i agree. even before stalingrad update, people were telling devs to concentrate on fixing the game and not adding new content.

also i have problem with devs not using revision control (or at least using it correctly if they are using it). some bugs that are actually fixed are just coming back after few updates. e.g. plane hit registration fix that they introduced couple of months ago made it super easy to kill enemy planes and bombers. then it either got reverted to pre fix state or devs buffed planes with tons of HP or nerfed plane MG (and/or any combination of these).

As far as AT goes, if you are having so much issue with explosive packs, switch up to AT soldiers and weaponry, that is literally what they are for. The panzerfausts and PIAT type weapons (lob launchers) are very reliable for me, usually allowing for 1 shots against most tanks.

Alternatively, build an AT field gun, they are VERY effective and can be very good against infantry too.

TNT is always an option, just keep in mind that its explosive force is predominately upwards and to the sides, so getting it under a tank, or pretty much under the turret is your best options for placement to kill.

I m highly interested in making AI better for everyone, but for that I need your reports on Cbr website.

If you do, please 1 AI issue per report and feel free to ping me with the link, and I make sure to see it.

For example, I did order AI to go cross this river and they took a 7mile around on a bridge and got killed here. A print where and a litle explanation

Ai did got stuck here or there when I did this or that…

If is you intention to make the AI better as high as mine, your help will be recognized with everyone that plays this game.

I want to spend money on the game its is a great concept and its being executed “ok”
but i wont spend much/any more money till i get my fucking aussie servers

Only “major” issue I see with ai right now is going down ladders or going up them. If someone puts a rally in a attic, they get bottlenecked super hard and will never be able to move down.

Everything you listed are basically very minor issues and bugs and don’t take away from the experience

Like they jump when they getting down on a stair?

Or any other issue you know?

this happens in moscow (beloe lake?) when you are attacking last objective (church on the hill). almost every time my bots go scenic route to bridge instead of swimming in the river.

maybe try to make devs concentrate on fixing default spawns… lots of times bots just get stuck in them.

This happens in Tunisia in a very frustrating way, they follow you until you step in the other margin, as soon as you step on the margin they can be 2 meters from you, they will go back and cross the bridge, or better, die trying to cross.

What’s the point in all this ‘record a video, report this issue’ when the devs have already known for ages that the AI bots absolutely suck ? Especially when they KNOW because they deliberately dumbed-down the AI due to snowflakes who didn’t like AI who actually return fire & hit their targets - as opposed to the current utterly ridiculous behaviour where you can stand right in front of bots and they just look at you & then after a few seconds shoot but MISS, and take several shots before they finally hit you !
They already know about the issues but refuse to do anything about it.
Why waste any effort ‘reporting issues’ which have been reported a LONG time ago, and which they are CLEARLY fully aware of ???
Are we supposed to believe that the developers receive these reports and say 'oh my God - that’s weird behaviour - it’s the first we’ve ever heard about this issue - hmmm, something must be done - ok lads let’s get to work solving this completely new and previously unseen problem that we’re only just now hearing about’. Are players really so dumb & gullible to believe this version of reality ?

I’m sure it wouldn’t take long to do a search on these forums to find posts from over a year ago detailing everything wrong with the AI behaviour - WITH VIDEO EXAMPLES and suggestions for how to solve the problems, along with examples of AI in other games which don’t behave in such an illogical dumb manner.

Why do we still need video proof that the AI cant use a ladder or struggles with windows or that they still have zero depth perception until you missed a shot close to them? The ladder/ height issue is older than my account.

I m talking about issues on positions. Sometimes a video footage is a good way to understand why something that wasn’t supposed to happen did… Happen.

They just don’t go down the stair period. Build a rally up in an attic and watch what the ai does. They just huddle up there. The guy you are using is across map. When he dies, you switch to another player and they are still at spawn’s

I assume by ‘positions’ you mean specific locations where the AI bots get stuck etc. ?
It’s not really about that - it’s a general problem with the AI programming which will cause them to get stuck in a whole variety of locations. It can’t be fixed by going through every location and trying to alter the layout of things to help the AI move around smoothly. It needs to be fixed by generally improving the AI interaction with their environment and path-finding.
But the first major improvement would simply be to restore the previous AI reaction times so they aren’t so painfully slow to react to enemies, and aren’t so ridiculously inaccurate that the player can stand still and the AI will repeatedly miss every shot - even reloading right in front of the player before ‘attempting’ to hit the player again.
They also need to be capable of reacting to danger. Currently they will stand still and not react at all while their entire squad is being killed right in front of them, and enemies can fire at them and run around yet they do nothing. These are really easy fixes. It doesn’t take a genius AI programmer to sort this out. We’re not expecting to be able to hold a philosophical conversation with them or get them to solve complex mathematical equations. This is basic FPS AI programming which has been done better is just about every game with AI since the late 90’s.

i know that my bots have been stuck in at least 2 positions there (1st and 4th spawn point for attackers) if not 3. i suspect that doors are the reasons for 1st spawn bug and tables/items are the reason for the 4th spawn bug. overall any house default spawn is potentially bugged.
