I played the USSR and died 2 times because our team lost a point and suddenly i was 15 kilometers outside of the map with no way to save myself, there should be a shrinking phase like in battle royale games where you can actually get back into the game area.
Oof
I would agree with this idea if it was not copying the world’s cringiest game of the century
I mean, you can just spawn back in on the point or easily walk back to it. If you are camping behind the lines you deserved to die like that.
Also NO battle royale mechanics please. Keep that shit away.
can we just make “battle royale” a banned word? We shouldn’t be discussing nor entertaining the idea of adding any of those dogged up mechanics.
Having the out of bounds border move smoothly instead of snapping isn’t a mechanic inherently made up by BR games. It itself is not a bad idea and just because a BR game uses it, does not mean we shouldn’t use it. Might as well remove the ability to walk, build or shoot from the game as those things are in Fortnite as well.
It might need a bit bigger warning that the area is about to turn.
Maybe a timer and the area where the new border will be marked on map
I guess in BF is system where zone shrinks so you are out of bounds, but instead of 10s timer (like normally when you are outside of the playable area) you have 20-30s to get back. Maybe that can be the solution.
I cannot tell you how many times I have died in a tank because of this very reason!
It says something like get back to the battle, then your slowly damaged until dead.
Actually, NO. I was in the battle and you suddenly changed the boundaries and because my tank isn’t fast enough to get back I almost always get blown up before I can get clear.
There’s a warning but it doesn’t tell you where you need to be.
Why are you guys so far from the point when it changes anyway?
Play the objective so that either you don’t lose the point in the first place or you’re closer to the next when it changes.
Problem solved lmao
muh k/d bro
It’s mainly invasion maps. If you are in front of a capture point, preventing someone from getting into the point, but one of your flanks collapses and the point gets captured, you are miles away from the next capture point. Can’t blame that on the user, as they held their flank of the battlefield. A single user cannot hold a capture point on their own. Teamwork is required. And on certain maps, it’s easier to defend a point in an advantageous position a little distance away from the point.
play the objective
that is beyond a majority of the enlisted playerbase to do. They’d rather sit in a bunker near the first point sniping people on their way to the objective or something else incredibly lame.
Agreed but pls no battle royale id just like a warning before it shrinks or something
It depends on the map. Never had this issue in Moscow but had quite a few on Normandy maps. IMHO they are just worse in many ways.
