I suggest adding a paid option to transfer unique items — for example, from Battle Passes, events, or donational ones — but not for free, rather for silver, gold, or cards.
Why this won’t kill interest in events:
- Not everyone will give their items away to someone else.
- Even if a trading system for unique items (vehicles, soldiers, weapons) is introduced, the total number of unique items after an event will stay the same, and it will increase interest in playing even if you missed the event — so you can trade for it with someone.
How to address the issue of a BR5 player wanting to give a BR4 weapon to a BR1 player:
- A silver penalty — if the BR of the player receiving the weapon is lower, then to receive a weapon above your BR you’d have to spend gold or silver into nowhere, or premium players could bypass the penalty.
- A high silver price can boost interest in battles — for example, 50 thousand silver per transfer could be estimated at 10–20 hours of playtime for a player (if they’re not a pro and not at the top of the scoreboard).
How this can increase interest in the game or help the game earn:
- A high silver price will make collectors play more.
- Transfer penalties can be removed for premium players.
- Players could be allowed to trade unique weapons only after their event ends, so that players keep playing or donating during the event or Battle Pass.
Problems caused by the lack of trading:
- Many players have a lot of unique items lying around that they don’t even use or don’t need, while a collector who lost the chance to get that weapon because they didn’t make it in time could simply play for a while and negotiate with players.
- Old items exist only with old players, who sometimes quit the game, and the item goes extinct.
- Rare BRs (with the needed items) — for example, players who collect items sometimes have nothing to do because there’s no BR for the items they’re interested in, but if there were, say, a player-to-player market, they could play a couple dozen battles and buy the weapon on the player market.
