Is that Churchill in anyway better as a Sherman? meet recently like 2, though the thicker armour would withstand a Tiger considering that even a Sherman can’t be penetrated by the mighty 88 mm. 
Irl all they had was either a 6 pounder or the 75mm gun, in NW Europe ~ 75% were equipped with the 75 mm gun that fired the same ammo as the US Sherman’s 75 mm
With ~ the same lackluster AP performance
It has more armour but it’s flat. So not much of a gain.
so far the churchill was extremely easy to beat, in my opinion it has worse armor than the sherman firefly, which is beyond stupid. My Stug penetrates it no problem.
personally they should reduce its price, because its nothing more than a slow regular sherman.

If premium squads are balanced well they should be more like an addition to the game, but right now they’re so expensive i never even lost a tough at buying any premium squad.
Not sure because i never bought one if they have a level requirement, but they should be obtainable for a lower price at a certain lvl and when they have no over preforming stuff everybody would be fine with that. Ofc DF has to make money in a f2p game but 40-60€ for a squad, thats out of my range i’m ever willing to pay.
Sad thing is when they lock sucker iconic weapons or units behind that Paywall like the StuG.
I mean, thats what i thought about the Panzer 38 t back in the day, so to speak that all premium vehicles are basically “top tier” and comparable in power to the max unlocks of each campaign, so to speak that you buy to get interesting diverse “somewhat rare” tanks, like prototypes or in general niece vehicles.
Like for example, why is the Matilda a premium vehicle? its such a iconic Africa front tank, instead we get yet another Sherman as a standard tank.

That is what i mean, don’t lock those away DF, make the game diverse, ofc money has to be made in a f2p but make ppl come back!

yea, like the T50 being a more or less prototype vehicle, it could have been a premium tank, and the T34 the standard top tier soviet vehicle, or in Normandy instead of the Jumbo they could have added the churchill as a heavy tank, since it actually really was there at the time.

Yes, just sad they lock unique units away and keep coming up with same Unit X.
The Churchill, like the Tiger has to fight angled towards the enemy, particularly against the Panther and Tiger, however it performs well against the medium tanks. Its spaced armour is quite good against Panzerfausts and explosive packs, an if you actually get some flat ground (like on Airfield) it will be a credible threat to the infantry and other medium armour.
The real killer of this tank in this game is the horrible map design.
