The new mechanism looks really exciting, but I have many doubt about the weapon transfers

I have read the “TRANSFERRING WEAPONS BETWEEN CAMPAIGNS” part for many times.
Are weapons able to transfers across nations? What about US and UK?

Update: for more info, see keofox replied there: Boosted progress and custom battle rules

What I expected of weapon inherit or… time travel:
”Lets leave those MG34/DP27 from Moscow to Berlin for a easier start"
Now:
“Let’s bring those MG/DP back to Moscow!”

They replied that it had to be the same model of gun and the same year of the model, for example, pre war k98k can be exchanged between moscow and berlin, for germans

Fg42 incoming to tunisia from the start

And thompson too, M1 garand is too OP for Normandy, and do not let´s talk about Browning1918, and you do not see me crying about that, war is not balanced, you sometimes have to get over that, with your habilty and that makes you a better player.

Bro if a new player tomorrow starts eng side of tunisia and the 90% of german player use full fg42 squad from lv 1 how this poor player are able to play answer me

FG42 didn’t see service until late 1943 in Italy. I doubt it.

my friend from this game we have to expect everything but I would be really surprised if they put the mauser as high-level rifles

Exactly, I’m not even certain the fg will be in that campaign at all. Ppl worry too much…

Edit: even if that were the case, the fg42 would NOT be as effective in Tunisia as in Normandy/Berlin: that war theater should be mostly very vast open terrain, and SOMETIMES cities. Things like the simple lee Enfield / k98 should be more useful. A bit like in Moscow. I think I’ll love this campaign.

u dont get a whole troop full of brownings 1918 like you do with the fg 42 the germans get a lmg for every trooper but whine when the bar was the equivalent for balence

Never saw service in Tunisia, so I hope to god not.

Would prefer to see Italian weapons in the Tunisia roster.

I think he’s trying to test a new flavor: “Germany suffers, but stoically accepts it”.

“Fg42 this fg42 that blahblahblah”
It shouldn’t even be in Tunisia campaign at all, and such a theater, desert landscape with lots of open areas, would not favor that gun ppl are so terrified of.

Instead I believe bolt actions will be very useful, a bit like in Moscow. A good thing since I’m a hardcore fan of the lee enfield since forever (don’t judge) and in Normandy it’s use is overshadowed by better weapons (semi autos).

I agree, the Lee Enfield is one of the best feeling and sounding bolt actions in Normandy.

better to think of every eventuality than to bang the face on reality they did it with moscow by adding “automatic” infantry rifles they did it with the americans giving them weapons not theirs, vehicles never used just to test them what prevents them from making the campaign of tunisia COD 2? (the English campaign) nothing so let’s prepare for the worst!
or it could be a relaxing campaign only with bolt-action only time can tell but in the meantime I don’t have too many hopes

I meat that people cry way too much about the fg42. The tool became the scapegoat of “I’m not very good playing vs germans, so I must blame something… fg42 it is”. The thing is mostly a very good semi auto rifle. It’s good, sure. But it’s really not that difficult to counter.

It’s the same syndrome on the opposite side: “I’m bad when playing vs usa, so I must blame something… jumbo it is!”

Yes, some tools are better than their counterparts between factions. No, it’s not the end of the world.

I mean the times Ive played Normandy I did just fine vs fg42 users with my lil Springfield rifle… (then I got nuked by planes but that’s another story)

So EVEN if the dreaded oh so terrifying fg came to Tunisia I wouldn’t care… Because I would still pick those using them and rushing ahead one after the other with my lee enfield.

(Leving aside my previus post)
I think you misunderstood me I complain that there are people who can already use it from lv1 this breaks the progression and the desire to play as well as putting new players at a disadvantage fg42 is just one (real) example, but the point of the matter is [you cannot solve the grinding problem by ruining the experience for possible new players by allowing the use of superior weapons to veteran gamers in a new campaign where they are “all” of lv1 this breaks the balance and this is the problem ]

I get you on this.

I suppose it’s why they release their new lobby matcmaking system at the same time. I’m not certain I will use it a lot, as I’m sure there will be silly things like:

Moscow campaign soviets vs Normandy Germans, smgs disabled.

I’ll probably go back to classic mm after I try it a couple of times.

it could work but nothing prevents veteran players from bullying the new ones, but having almost finished the moscow campaign with the soviets and having 20 winchesters 1885 the idea of having a bolt action only battle excites me a lot
