The New 1944 Johnson Sights are Incorrect

One of the main features of the 1944 Johnson was the new sight it used either the canted forward single aperture as its battle sight or the adjustable ladder sight. I don’t know which 1944 DF used for reference but no photo or image of a 1944 had the original sights

Looks like the 1941 sights got put on this 1944

H&G game had the same 1944 sights as Enlisted

I think whatever the one it’s supposed to have looks uncomfortable to use… i prefer it the way it is.

While the 1941 might be a more to your liking the 1944 sight might make the gun feel more unique and help it accieve an own identity outside of just beeing a copy paste clone of an already existing gun.
