Make it 5-6 people. I understand it affects active players coming into a match but how many matches are too many bots and not enough heart beats? Also, this is a bridge too far I understand but joining a battle that your friends are in. These were features of Heroes and Generals so its not an impossible request. What are people supposed to do when you got 4-5 of your friends online? Modern video games tend to make people loners. Its not like before, a few years ago the active community was beneficial. Playing with a good team makes the game 100% better. As a group every battle we got better and better. No one ended the night disappointed only glad they finally have regular people to play with.
5+ person squad instead of 4. HnG had 6 (maybe higher its been awhile). The reason I understand against is it would allow clans to dominate. It did not happen in HnG why would it happen here?
Your name right there But like Loki you got to play or at least accept the invite. Not a lot of advantages trying to engage with people who do not reciprocate.(Not you specifically). I just removed like 20 people off my list. I think a contact list should be one page.
I dont think HNG had a squad for 6 people to join. Pretty sure it was 4
What clans used to do was queue up on specific battles in the war mode, to make sure they were all in the same battle together. But dont think there was a squad ability to have 6 people queue up together
Heroes and Generals had 20 player teams on each side and still only allowed 4 players at most (at least that was the case with Squad system 3.0 while 2.0 was flexible and it was possible to increase the players to 6 which was too much hence it was changed).
Now, what on earth do you need 5+ veterans for?
In most cases even 2 veterans are enough to turn the tide a match. Even at 3 sweats in a squads, the vast majority of matches end in a stomp. This isnt Heroes and Generals War mode, there is absolutely no good reason in this game to play in a competitive clan, unless you are a coward, afraid of defeat.
The maximum number of players in a standard Heroes & Generals squad (often referred to as an assault team or squad) is 6 players for Infantry. I know all about the game I played it from Beta to almost the end (Left for enlisted never looked back after the debacle)
Because I have more than 3 friends in the game? Because its been a total blast playing with people from the forum? Why do assume 5 people playing together are vets? I play with a couple groups that are 2-3 people they are no near in skill with the people I play with now. LOL I play Germany 2 that is constant defeat. We all can’t be solo hero sweat lords like you Valkay. TBH I love a good fight against good players. Also, we were talking about handicapping our BR because we are “cowards and afraid of defeat” Try less of the Winston Churchill rhetoric I just enjoy playing with people, not by myself, and not against a bunch of bots? Hear me playa!
There is a saying in Hungarian:
He shall no dress himself with a shirt, that he has nothing to do with.
It’s a really weird way of saying, if it does not apply to you, do not pick up the matter.
I will take your word for the fact that you do not intend to play for stomps, but I think it’s clear why we should not increase the player squad size.
If everyone was honourable, no one wanted easy wins and people did not abuse the squad system, than we could have up to 10 player squads, but a small minority ruins the fun of everyone else.
A clan system has been in the works for years now, probably forgotten like mouse and keyboard for console players. So this issue will persist with us for a long while.
The wins are nice but I have played thousands of matches so it is more about the quality of opponent and enjoyment of play. We literally lost the last match we played with 3 people after me and Joe winning 5 everyone of them uptiered. Fighting Axis 2 right now is terrible. So we are going to BR5 Germany. I enjoy good gameplay I do not really factor in what the other side thinks. The group dynamic makes that nicer because you can have a collective goal that people who play together have. Today was a good example with me and Joe YOu like Mortars I like mortars! we lit the cap up and that team, 4 of them gave up after 5 minutes. For real too!
When playing public matches, teaming up with one can be fun (for comraderie). Teaming up as a 3 stack can start to feel unfair (unless you get a rarely tough match up). A four stack is almost always a boring stomp. I can’t imagine how awful it would be with more. I genuinely think that more than two is sort of seal clubbing in today’s Enlisted. This is where customs should come into play.
as much as I understand your point and how its your right to ask for more chance to be able to play with your friends, I as someone who plays only solo, I have to say big no. groups are already pain to solo players and increasing their numbers will not help in any way
That is why I am glad I have a group of people to play with 95% of my time playing Enlisted has been solo. It gets really boring being the top player in the match constantly losing because everyone else can’t be bothered to do the most simple of things. When someone says “Need a rally point” but has built ZERO rally points is the issue.
