brilliant, not only it’d reduce SMG/explosive spam but also will make devs more money. Although i think repair system will come along as well, but i don’t think it will be this much of a problem since you can play regular infantry instead and this way reducing tank/plane spam as well. So basically if you’re broke then you’re playing with bolt actions. I think this way will solve the BR system, you’re basically will HAVE TO play with lower gear frequently bcs of the cost of amunition/repair. I don’t think it would be that bad either.

Nonono, even with hardest spam system shouldn’t result in negative income.
I still remember Spitfire experience.
That system should encourage player to play thoughtfully, instead of giving negative emotions.

But without, you will be dumped by high tier equipment even without spam. StG is just better, than MP-40

Didn’t they say matchmaking will be skill based as well as equipment based anyway?

It does sound like this would actually solve a lot of potential spam issues and allow all levels of equipment to still have their place.

Mp28 was dirt cheap to use, stg44 was much more costly.

Meaning I, a veteran, will be able to keep using my bolt actions that I main at the moment, and will literally slaughter new players. Or meta smg spammers will be able to spam 3 mp28 teams and get same result.

That’s roughly what the new system draft says.

Which is why I encourage players to think a little about it and come with suggestions and questions, ready for the next Q&A. devs and helpers are actively collecting data.

Kurz is definetly more expensive then parabellum, but not more then 3-4 times.
And you need less shots to kill with StG

Because they should be used as a tactical opportunity, not your main way to kill (WP, I’m looking at you!)

Have misunderstood this then - as I thought this meant if the equipment was balanced, it would the match make based on the rating of the participants too:

“If there are enough players in the queue willing to enter a battle with weapons/machines close in level of development, the battle will be initiated by taking into account the rating of its participants.”

Either way though - skill based match making needs to be become involved in my opinion - and not just based on the existing rank system. And if that was involved - I would actually quite like this idea for equipment balance and ‘anti-spam’.

Rating of it’s participants simply mean the rating of what they bring.

A bit like war thunder.

There used to be something about realism and historical accuracy in enlisted “About the game” tab.
Which didnt really mean anything even back then.

Either way “last” remnants of “historical accuracy” was very least removed with the new weapons / tanks that were in wrong place.

Now as we know the new “progression” system or what ever merges all campaigns and theoreticly makes it possible for tiger2 to appear in moscow.

Like really, who the fk actually considers this as historically accurated game ?

Either way, its been argued long time ago that limiting ammunition per soldier is quite dummy way to
“try balance” anything.
Currently the only explosives that are pretty much broken are the WP nades.

So perhaps fix the WP nades rather than again try to limit out things.

I do, and more than ever before it baffles me that theres actually some ppl simple enough to consider this as historically accurated game.
Theres like nothing except weapons names that could be considered historically accurated.

Quite sure this game has chosen the arcade path ? And trying to force it into already niche category of tacticooling would only harm the game even further.

Quite sure its not rewarded as we speak, only the hits u get gives a rewards.
Punishment as should be is the shitlaod of missed ammunition.

WP nades aside.

Because who cares. This is a game, not a simulator. Its fun. Also its not really rewarded. Why would you ever support 1- having to grind for everything. 2- having to spend a limited currency on the things you grind for. 3- AND THEN having to pay to use it every game. This makes no sense and is a terrible implementation even in war thunder

In WT you pay for death, I suggest to pay for spam. If it is spam for spam - there is nothing wrong to punish for it.

And I’m suggesting game mechanic.

You can have arcade game with historical accuracy. This just isnt that game.
Aka very least having weapons of said timeline.

Except its not exactly fun.
Im quite sure the revealed campaign merge was done due to lack of playerbase.
And I honestly dont think this game could compete with anything if the grind etc was increased any further.
Which is exactly what would happen with such silly addition.

And me as well as quite many have now explained more than once why the suggested game mechanic is bad.

And war thunders system is bad and shouldnt be in this game.

To say these don’t correspond is just evidence you’ve got no counter argument.

Engineers, Mortars, Artillery, Vehicle damage system, low TTK, bullet drop and speed, penetration (before its gone)

But we will have huge grind reduction, why not to sacrifice some to make game more fun to play?
You forget that its not for simply increasing grind, but for reducing spam also.
